I would rather have a "spoiled brat" than someone who is rude like you on these forums. You owe the OP an apology.

FAA: ATP-ME, 737 CA, enough time in the 757/767 to be dangerous 🤠

Have you tried tunning it as suggested in the introduction?

Dario, Pre-purchase question, what tunning are they saying to do? I do plan on getting it but want to wait a bit to let the little bugs and such get worked out.

OP's system looks to be a mid-range system of around 2006 or 2007... running 64-bit W7 would make a difference, relatively speaking, even without lots of hardware upgrades.

If you run through Ryan's nVidia config thread here, your FSX.cfg file through Bojote's tweaker (you can find the url over on that thread), and use an external FPS limiter... that's mostly what they tell you in the manual. Your specs are better than mine by a huge margin... I PROMISE you won't be disappointed with performance, especially if you tune it up right.

There's a "performance" section in the FMC that allows tweaking the displays assigning them a target frame rate. Still reading though.

Thanks for the info Jack.

If you can tune it up a bit as described above theirs a couple of measures to take that at least for me long since ensured the last of the OOM errors. This being through at least 6 *different* computer setups and 2-3 formats a year on the harddrives. I run 4 gig ram and Vista 32 bit, used the USERVA command first; BCDEDIT /Set IncreaseUserVa 3072 Next I checked the Virtual Memory Settings which were set to allow Windows to control. I reset them to "Custom size" and set at 4605 as recommended by Windows at the bottom of the window where the changes are set. Goodbye OOM errors for me long long ago not long after FSX and the OOM errors came out. Runs perfect here with the 737 NGX for me and is reversible too, but I`ve never found it necessary. The rest is up to you, your choice and risk to go ahead or not. I can only say I did long ago and haven`t regretted it.

Daswannies, I am running a high end gaming machine with a GTX580 and I had a similar issue after installing the NGX I followed the comprehensive introductory guide and I think in the process i accidentally did something to my FPS limiter program.... I reinstalled it and I'm getting 19-27 FPS at KBFI running ORBX PNW. Even on my PC it is extremely graphic intensive with REX and Active sky all demanding GPU Processes! I flew out of KMEM and my FPS picked up drastically. I'm heading over to JFK from BFI I'll let you know if it CTD's Ash,

Using the 2D panels I can barely get it BELOW my limit of 30 FPS.
