August 6, 201114 yr you have to install it first to be able to read the 'Boeing' manuals, but you don't need to activate the product to do it.you can dl somewhere in the near future the tutorial and the PMDG manual which explains clickspots, how to get the best performance and some other things. August 6, 201114 yr The Boeing manual is pretty much the same a pilot/airline would get ... very technical and much knowledge needed to understand whats going on (~3500pages)The PMDG manual is for stuff how to get it work on your pc/fsx and some infos as well what works and what not and interface explanations,The tutorial is very good and after that even a beginner can get the plane from a to b (while aircraft fully running < no cold&dark startup) P.L. August 6, 201114 yr Hi How is the manual? Does the manual describes every function and its systems so as a begginer can understand how to fly the 737ngx or is the manual based on that you know alot of how to fly it? Fredrik Hi Fredrik, When you buy the NGX, there are 2 different sets of manuals that come with it. The first is the aircraft related manuals. These are the Flight Crew Operations Manuals (yes, manualS....volumes 1 and 2....over a thousand pages!!), the Flight Crew Training Manual, and the Quick Reference Handbook. These are the actual Boeing publications, some of which are higher technical, and very informative. These alone will provide weeks of reading pleasure. In addition to these, you will get 2 items that PMDG has put together. One is the NGX introduction. This one tells you the how to set up your system, and FSX. It gives pointers on how to configure the NGX. It's a nice starter guide .The other item in a tutorial. It has you starting at London Gatwick airport, on the active runway, with the engines running .It offers basic info on how to get airborn. There will be another tutorial which should be available soon. It will offer a more advanced scenario (starting the aircraft, among other things). This aircraft is incredible. The level of detail is amazing. My advice is to take it slow, and learn a little at a time. You will NOT be an expert in a few days. Even the more experienced pilots (and that does NOT include myself) will have a nice learning curve. If you are a beginner, it will take a while. Learn, ask questions in this forum, and eventually you will find yourself feeling comfortable in the flight deck. Ron Priever

August 21, 201114 yr Colleagues, I've purchased 737NGX (and prior to release, the QRH) and have been searching for the 'basic' PMDA manuals with the NGX intro, configuration and system help, clickspots, etc. Should it/they have been downloaded with the plane and, if so, where does the installer put them? i've been managing to use the plane with the CDU menu options but would really like to read the basics. Thanks for any help! Joe

August 21, 201114 yr The installer puts them in the programs file under Start Button, All Programs, PMDG Simulations then subfolder 737NGX. Everything is available from the start menu key. Easy Peasy. Dennis Trawick Screen Shot Forum Rules
