The turbine Duke is utterly wonderful, one of the best ever made for FSX. RealAir has not released a paint kit for the Duke, either piston or turbine, and I think that's a mistake. Honestly, I don't care a lot about what's on the outside of the plane. I just fly it and enjoy.

Lose not thine airspeed, lest the ground rise up and smite thee.

No one has even mentioned the Carenado Baron, probably a bit out voted voting now.

You mean you went to the Turbine Duke download page and didn't see the repaint kit?
Cheers, - jahman.

I stand corrected. I did not know they had put that out.

Anyone hear anything about the FSX King Air 200 from Flight1? (The FSX re-do of the FS9 B-200 from Aeroworx). Cheers, - jahman.
Last I heard it was on the back burner for other Cessna products. And I must correct myself... it appears the turbine Duke is faster than the King air 90 up at altitude.

I'm really surprised that no-one has mentioned the Flight1 ATR. Sure it is a little dated, but IMHO it is one of the best aircraft Ad-ons (Prop and Jetliner). There are also loads of repaints available through Flight1 and here on AVSIM.

Cheers,

Alex

The Turbine Duke is great, great, great. Especially with the fully upgraded RXP 530Ws using the professional package. I use double 530Ws with crossfill, Terrain Avoidance, Traffic and other goodies.Ed

The Baron is a twin piston, not twin turboprop.

I'd recommend the following twin-engined aircraft:Flight1 BN2 Islander: this plane is rather slow, but it's quite unlike any other plane you will find for FS. The sound are truly amazing, the modeling is superb, and it's not toodifficult to fly either. Oh, and the shaking cockpit effect is really nice also.Aerosoft Twin Otter: It's relatively fast, can land anywhere, is used all over the world, and is simply really fun to fly. I also quite like the modeling and sounds, although the interior texturing is getting a bit old in my opinion.PMDG J41: You said you'd rather not get this one, and to be honest, I hardly fly mine anymore for several reasonbs, the most important one being that I tend to fly the 737NGX, Aerosoft Airbus X and Leonardo Maddog most of the time nowadays, and that the J41 just isn't used very widely. I have lots of plans to fly it around Australia, but I never get around to do that. All that said, it is one of the best twin egnine turboprops you can get. Modeling is beautiful, sounds are great, textyuring is great, and systems are really good.

I think the new Aerosoft Bronco is also worth a look.
