August 8, 201114 yr For GA, RA Turbo Duke is the ticket. For a super nice regional airliner, it's the PMDG J41. And for the small GA liner I would consider the 210 or 172 by Carenado. In addition to a complex VFR scenery (like ORBX) you will get many steps further in flight simming. Kind regards, Erich.
August 8, 201114 yr GA liner? That's a contradiction of terms, is it not? I'm not sure what you mean by "...you will get many steps further in flight simming. " Ich versteheSie nicht. Joe Brown
August 8, 201114 yr Commercial Member I actually really love the Duke (get the RXP GNS530W unit too) - obviously I want you to get the J41 as well but they're both amazing. Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
August 8, 201114 yr Realair Duke and J41, very different beasts but both amazing turboprops in their own rights. Can't really say one's better, the J41 has a better looking VC IMO, even though the aircraft itself is b*tt ugly. Wish Aeroworx had finished the work on their B200 for FSX, but I believe they went bust before they finished it.
August 8, 201114 yr RealAir Duke....end of story. http://realairsimulations.com/duket10/intro.php?page=duket10_intro | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
August 8, 201114 yr If you would care to consider a single, there is always the Flight1 PC12 which is well done. August 9, 201114 yr Author Ready the posts with the PMDG J41 a lot of people seem to have issues with the throttle, throttling up but not throttling back with the joystick or hardware and a flight lock of some type, unfortunately I would not have the time to spend a lot of time learning how to use the aircraft properly....I understand it is very presise and ultra realistic (really apreciate how good it is in terms of realism) and I dont think I would get the benefits of the learning curves and nuiances of this aircraft at this stage....its a definate I think one day.....cheers
August 17, 201114 yr Author Just reading some more on the beech duke, there only seems to be about half a dozen repaints for it looking at google, forums etc.....aren't people making repaints for this aircraft at all or is a template not available for repaints on the Realair Duke 60?
August 17, 201114 yr The Duke comes with a load of different colour schemes. probably 6 or 8. I dont pay much attention. Theres quite a cool black one with gold stripes I think. I imagine in RL they are all owned by individuals rather than airlines so not sure how many individual paints shemes you would need really. I think paint schemes are overrated, people seem to buy aircraft based on what colour schemes are available rather than whether they are realistic to fly.. Anyway another vote for the Duke. I have the J41 as well but havent got round to properly figuring it out. It does seem very slow and noisy. I am probably not using the props correctly. I must sit down with the manual one day and get it sorted. The Duke is a rocket. A complete blast to fly. Great sound effects too. I love just starting the engines. I get a buzz every time. Its like... hold on to your hats folks!
August 17, 201114 yr ...is a template not available for repaints on the Realair Duke 60?You mean you went to the Turbine Duke download page and didn't see the repaint kit? Cheers, - jahman.
August 17, 201114 yr Author LOL.....Jahman, I see it now, I checked some forums for repaints and didnt really see any, I checked back and saw the paintkit yes. Have you used the paintkit for the Duke at all.....I have never done a repaint but it looks rewarding to do one, thanks Jahman.
August 18, 201114 yr Commercial Member I don't know about a good twin turbo (except the dated F1 Cessna Conquest) but if you want a really great one then get the RealAir Turbine Duke. Hands down the best FSX plane I ever owned. Cheersjja Jim Allen[email protected]SkyPilot Software home of FSXAssist / P3DAssist
August 18, 201114 yr Also, OP, the Carenado King Air 90 is getting closer... it's like a turbine duke but a little faster.http://www.carenado.com/CarSite/Portal/index.php | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
