September 5, 201114 yr Well, here's the latest from PMDG on their web site......but there's no mention of which issues they'll be fixing and if IVAP crashes with the 737NGX is going to be one of them! PMDG 737NGX Service Pack && 737-600/700 Expansion 03 September 2011 03:55Today we have announced that s Service Pack for the PMDG 737-800/900 NGX Base Package is in the works. Anticipated release for this SP is 23SEP11, but that date is subject to change. The primary focus of this SP is to bring in some changes to the activation behavior in order to eliminate a problem that some customers have reported, as well as to improve the stability of the product with various fixes, updates and corrections to items hat have been reported to us since the product released on 03AUG11. In addition, the PMDG 737-600/700 NGX Expansion Pack will be released at approximately the same time. *Note: All dates are subject to change without notice. Oh....and to futher add to my disappointment over this issue, I've flown several other aircraft on IVAO using IVAP over the last few days at diferent times on differing routes and not had one single IVAP crash! Come on PMDG! Say something to acknowledge the problem at least and please, please, please give us a fix asap!

September 5, 201114 yr Guys, There's a thread in the IVAO forum, please post there and not only here. IVAO HAS to give a look at this problem too.
September 9, 201114 yr Hi, Kenny Moens just posted this in the IVAO forum. I quote him here for those who missed it : Suggestions to try out:- disabling of IvAp SDK- disabling of external TCAS feedBoth options can be disabled in IvAp configuration. I'll try this, please post feedback if you try too. Those IVAP crashes are annoying.
September 9, 201114 yr Like I wrote in another thread, I'm running IvAp successfully with those options checked but in a multi-PC setup where I'm running the IvAp user interface on a second PC and the remaining IvAp modules on my FSX PC.
September 9, 201114 yr I started getting IVAP crashes when activating IVAP thru the add-on menu in FSX. However, after running IVAP using the IVAP - External icon on the the desk top, I have had no IVAP disconnects and can fly several hours straight on IVAO without any problems. Daniel Nilsson
September 10, 201114 yr VPA481 - I guess you've seen my post on IVAO already about Kenny's suggestion's, but I do already have FSUIPC SDK disabled and I can't find an option for 'disabling of external TCAS feed' within FSX IVAP configuration. Webmaximus - I don't have a multi PC set up, but thanks for letting us know Helicopterpilot - My friend and I have tried running IVAP externally and this still hasn't worked for us, but what I find strange is that I hardly ever have IVAP crashes with other aircraft and when I use the 737 NGX, it only crashes IVAP and not FSX like some user's have reported. PMDG - HELLO!!!! CAN YOU HEAR US? PLEASE HELP US! WE CAN'T USE YOUR PRODUCT TO FLY ONLINE WITH IVAO!!!!! WHAT'S HAPPENED TO CUSTOMER SUPPORT??????? IT'S BEEN A MONTH NOW, SO WHAT'S HAPPENING???????
September 10, 201114 yr To use external IVAP do we have to start FSX first and then in windows mode launch IVAP external? Could anyone please clarify? Thanks! Edmundo Azevedo
September 10, 201114 yr I stopped flying online because of IVAP randomly crashing my FSX every flight with NGX. For couple of months flying the "other" 737 I never had such problem. We all would appreciate PMDG having some comments on this issue. Regards, Martin Martinov / VATSIM 1207931

September 11, 201114 yr @ega: yes, start fsx and get into the cockpit, then start IVAP externally. All I know is that it works for me. Daniel Nilsson
September 11, 201114 yr For now, please use the external ivap software I do think it's a shame that PMDG staff have vacated the forums a little probably because they are working on SP1 so its not a shame. Tebin Ulrich
September 11, 201114 yr Even external don't solve the problem by my side..... @Dick, yep saw your post in IVAO forum.
September 14, 201114 yr Hi Guy's, Please have a look at this link on IVAO and read our latest finding's on this subject :- http://forum.ivao.aero/index.php/topic,186259.0.html It seem's from PMDG's response to Nigel Owen's support ticket (Quote "We are looking into the issue and believe it is related to the new P2P function in IVAO. I know that the IVAO developers are also looking into the issue so hopefully a solution will be forthcoming."), that they think IVAO is at fault here, but that is clearly not the case as IVAP doesn't use p2p at the moment, although it's successor will do! Also, sadly Kenny's suggestion to have the NGX TCAS turned off does not cure the problem either, so I guess we will just have to keep on waiting whilst PMDG do nothing and admit nothing! Regards, Richard
September 17, 201114 yr Hello, i have the same problem with ivap. After 20 or 40 mn Ivap crash with FSX. This is the solution before running FSX you must open Ivap as administrator and put in as "FSX external" and then FSX don't crash. Nasser +1
