Could someone try this with the MD11 please? Because i don't have the 747 and i haven't bought the NGX yet because i'm a bit worried about performance....But if it works with the MD11, i'll buy it :)

Alexander Marx

Someone who this apparently works for, needs to do a solid benchmark using fraps, taking an average frame rate with and without the 'fix'. Anyone up to the job?

I don't have the PMDG 747, but I wouldn't mind getting it for free under the auspices of "737NGX SP1."Trevor

Has anyone tried with a low end system say a Dual Core Processor? I'm just curious to see if it works for it I'm in a middle of a long flight with the NGX.

The lights are dimming on FSX and only getting brighter for XPX.

I have a Core 2 Duo and it stops me from having frames variate a lot. They are certainly more steady than before.... (I have the worlds worst FSX system btw)

I did this before my current flight. I don't what frames would go up to, as I have mine set at 25, which is all I want, but I know one thing, it sure seems a lot smoother to me. Before when I would pan around the cockpit it would drop to 10-15, doesn't seem to be doing it now. Thanks for the tip!

this is what I felt as well. I just loaded the 747 in the fre flight screen and did not actually start the flight. then selected the ngx and started the flight at ysch. seemed smoother but I have no reliable numbers to confirm as I am running the fps limiter set to 26 anyway. would be interested to know whether the difference is really the airac cycles already loaded before flight in the 747

I have a C2D E8600 @3.33 stock, just tried it with the 747X, there was a slight improvement actually! Did some circuits at EGLL (Big FPS killer for me) and it was very smooth at around 20-23FPS average, around 17 with the mouse cursor in view. Once I switched views from VC to external though I was back to 12 max. Dan.

I tried this few minutes ago using the 747-400x and didn't see any difference, same 13-14FPS sleep.png
