both aircraft use the same airac data

I know Rob, but some like Loan are using older airacs by choice. I subscribe to navigraph, so always have database current. When I heard about that some users experienced fmc freezes, I re installed my standalone airac from navigraph and after 50 flying hours, have not had an issue.

Reinstalled, didn't change anything, default AIRAC Absolutely no difference, 20 fps out of the box, 50 after loading the 747 first. Because I don't use scenery addons.

I am experiencing the possitive loading effect of the PMDG 747 on the NGX fps too. I have a SB 2600k, 8gb 1600 mhz and 120 GB SSD and have increase of 10 fps when I first load the PMDG 747. I can reproduce it every time i use the NGX.

So out of the people who are seeing a benefit from loading the 747 first how many have Intel i5/i7's? It almost appears those are the only ones. Not all i5's and i7's see a boost though. Is this a true observation or is someone out there seeing a boost to frames who has a different processor?

Good point, I recall seeing most of the people with better FPS on older generation CPU's... I don't know... Could it be the affinity mask?

I think at this point one of you is going to either run a benchmark, or make a video showing the difference here, otherwise this won't be taken seriously. if it really does work for some of you then it's not magic, it's happening for a reason, so you should start some sort of method of sharing your entire specs, as well as any cfg tweaks ect. Otherwise you're all going to be stuck loading the 744 before every flight just to get decent performance.

I agree. I'm not about to buy another plane without seeing some actual proof. More then that if it is real I would like to see why it's happening and if it can be reproduced without shelling out more money; e.g. tweaks to the fsx.cfg et. el.

Good stuff. Make sure you post up all of your system info/tweaks at he same time. There has to be a common factor amongst those of you for whom this works.

Hello there, Couldn't believe it at first, but having trouble getting in the 25's FPS at McCarran FSDT airport, I decided to give a try. Always being constant loading the aircraft the exact location at the exact time etc, I do get around 5 FPS more when I load the 747X before choosing the 737NGX. My rig is a Radeon HD5770 and a Intel I5 chipset 750 @ 2.67 GHz6.00 Gig of RAM and Windows 7 64-bit. Note that I had alot of CTD's after reinstalling the hotfix so I got back to the original release. Thx for the trick!
