"Shade" for FSX

Recommended Posts

Anyone know how much memory/cpu power this addon takes up? I'm already running EZCA, add in the PMDG 737NGX, Orbx scenery, facetracknoIR/freetrack/trackIR and now this and I can see myself running pretty low in memory.

It has a tiny memory footprint, esp. once the GUI is closed and FSX is running. Task Manager says around 7,400k... and it certainly will not trouble your CPU.

Hi all I'm wondering if anyone has recommendations for using ENB with Shade. My settings are below, and I really just want a bit more 'blue' in my sky...at the moment it washes out a but much. I also think it darkens the terrain a little too much, but only a little: Here is a screenshot: 201192622521466.jpg It's very close, but just a little too glarey. I love what these settings do at dawn, dusk, and night though so...it's a bit of a balancing act I guess. So, if anyone can either recommend a SHADE profile that will blue up the sky, and lighten the land, but keep the striking shadows, or what to tweak in the ENB settings, I'd appreciate it //GEX Europe ENB Bloom Settings by Nick Needham [PROXY]EnableProxyLibrary=0InitProxyFunctions=0ProxyLibrary=[GLOBAL]UseEffect=0AlternativeDepth=1AllowAntialias=0BugFixMode=0SkipShaderOptimization=0QuadVertexBuffer=0EnableShaders_3_0=1UseMRTRendering=0AdditionalConfigFile=enbseries2.ini[EFFECT]EnableBloom=1EnableOcclusion=0EnableReflection=0EnableMotionBlur=0EnableWater=0EnableShadow=0DepthBias=0EnableDepthOfField=0[iNPUT]KeyUseEffect=123KeyBloom=120KeyOcclusion=121KeyReflection=122KeyCombination=16KeyScreenshot=44KeyShadow=119KeyWater=118KeyShowFPS=106[REFLECTION]ReflectionPower=60ChromePower=60UseCurrentFrameReflection=1ReflectionQuality=1ReflectionSourceSpecular=50ReflectionSourceTFactor=50UseAdditiveReflection=1ReflectionDepthBias=0UseLowResReflection=1ReflectionSinglePass=1UseEnvBump=0EnvBumpAmount=100EnvBumpOffset=100ReflectionFlip=0[bLOOM]BloomPowerDay=7BloomFadeTime=400 BloomConstantDay=1BloomQuality=0BloomScreenLevelDay=30BloomCurveDay=0BloomPowerNight=0BloomConstantNight=0 BloomCurveNight=0BloomScreenLevelNight=10BloomAdaptationScreenLevel=24BloomAdaptationMultiplier=100BloomAllowOversaturation=1BloomMaxLimit=100[sSAO]UseFilter=1OcclusionQuality=2FilterQuality=1DarkeningLevel=15BrighteningLevel=20IlluminationLevel=20 AdditiveIlluminationLevel=25UseAmbientOcclusion=1UseIndirectLighting=1FadeDistance=50UseForAlphaTest=0UseForAlphaBlend=0[colorCORRECTION]DarkeningAmountDay=25ScreenLevelDay=50ScreenLevelNight=1DarkeningAmountNight=35GammaCurveDay=-3GammaCurveNight=-3ColorSaturationDay=1ColorSaturationNight=1UsePaletteTexture=0[WATER]UseWaterDeep=0WaterDeepness=20WaterQuality=0[sHADOW]ShadowFadeStart=40ShadowFadeEnd=80ShadowAmountDay=50ShadowAmountNight=40ShadowScreenLevelDay=40ShadowScreenLevelNight=30ShadowQuality=1UseShadowFilter=0FilterQuality=2ShadowBlurRange=30[ENGINE]ForceAnisotropicFiltering=0MaxAnisotropy=8ForceDisplayRefreshRate=0DisplayRefreshRateHz=60[MOTIONBLUR]MotionBlurQuality=1MotionBlurVelocity=0MotionBlurRotation=0[PERPIXELLIGHTING]SpecularColorMin=0SpecularColorMax=100SpecularColorMultiplier=100SpecularGlossinessMin=0SpecularGlossinessMax=100SpecularGlossinessMultiplier=100[DEPTHOFFIELD]DOFQuality=2DOFNumberOfPasses=1DOFFocusRange=50DOFBlurinessRange=10

I don't use REX... But fwiw, I discovered these settings for ENB and they seem really great. I have more colour in the day, and nighttime still remains nice and dark [PROXY]EnableProxyLibrary=0InitProxyFunctions=0ProxyLibrary=[GLOBAL]UseEffect=1AlternativeDepth=1AllowAntialias=0BugFixMode=0SkipShaderOptimization=0QuadVertexBuffer=0EnableShaders_3_0=1UseMRTRendering=0AdditionalConfigFile=enbseries2.ini[EFFECT]EnableBloom=1EnableOcclusion=0EnableReflection=0EnableMotionBlur=0EnableWater=0EnableShadow=0DepthBias=0EnableDepthOfField=0[iNPUT]KeyUseEffect=123KeyBloom=120KeyOcclusion=121KeyReflection=122KeyCombination=16KeyScreenshot=44KeyShadow=119KeyWater=118KeyShowFPS=106[REFLECTION]ReflectionPower=60ChromePower=60UseCurrentFrameReflection=1ReflectionQuality=1ReflectionSourceSpecular=50ReflectionSourceTFactor=50UseAdditiveReflection=1ReflectionDepthBias=0UseLowResReflection=1ReflectionSinglePass=1UseEnvBump=0EnvBumpAmount=100EnvBumpOffset=100ReflectionFlip=0[bLOOM]BloomPowerDay=18BloomFadeTime=600BloomConstantDay=3BloomQuality=0BloomScreenLevelDay=50BloomCurveDay=7BloomPowerNight=30BloomConstantNight=0 BloomCurveNight=9BloomScreenLevelNight=12BloomAdaptationScreenLevel=80BloomAdaptationMultiplier=45BloomAllowOversaturation=1BloomMaxLimit=57[sSAO]UseFilter=1OcclusionQuality=2FilterQuality=1DarkeningLevel=15BrighteningLevel=20IlluminationLevel=20 AdditiveIlluminationLevel=18UseAmbientOcclusion=1UseIndirectLighting=1FadeDistance=50UseForAlphaTest=0UseForAlphaBlend=0[colorCORRECTION]DarkeningAmountDay=33ScreenLevelDay=60ScreenLevelNight=12DarkeningAmountNight=-5GammaCurveDay=-2GammaCurveNight=9ColorSaturationDay=2ColorSaturationNight=-2UsePaletteTexture=0[WATER]UseWaterDeep=0WaterDeepness=20WaterQuality=0[sHADOW]ShadowFadeStart=40ShadowFadeEnd=80ShadowAmountDay=50ShadowAmountNight=40ShadowScreenLevelDay=40ShadowScreenLevelNight=30ShadowQuality=1UseShadowFilter=0FilterQuality=2ShadowBlurRange=30[ENGINE]ForceAnisotropicFiltering=1MaxAnisotropy=8ForceDisplayRefreshRate=0DisplayRefreshRateHz=60[MOTIONBLUR]MotionBlurQuality=1MotionBlurVelocity=0MotionBlurRotation=0[PERPIXELLIGHTING]SpecularColorMin=0SpecularColorMax=100SpecularColorMultiplier=100SpecularGlossinessMin=0SpecularGlossinessMax=100SpecularGlossinessMultiplier=100[DEPTHOFFIELD]DOFQuality=2DOFNumberOfPasses=1DOFFocusRange=50DOFBlurinessRange=10

I agree on the VC darkness but I have been able to make subtle adjustments in my nvidia control panel. ie. saturation, gamma and the like. It does help a little. Bob

If anyone's interested I've got it pretty right now. Just a little bit of bloom, nice contrast on the land but not too dark, and of course, really dark evenings and nights. If anyone's interested I can post it

Post Deleted by O.P. Set up custom, ....got it working. REX rendered and loaded rain clouds are really now nicely highlighted...and seem menacing. Shade on the mountain and hill sides give a nice realism to the sim. Worth 11.00 bucks. Totally custom configurable. Worth the asking price of $11.00

Hi guys, I bought Shade for FSX because I loved the pictures that you are posting on this topic. And also to give more realistic environment to FSX. But I have a problem. I don't know how to use because it is a little bit confuseSilly.gif . So can anyone post a tutorial how to use this software? It will be very kind from you biggrin.png. Best regards and good flights, Gonçalo Carvalho
