the best 50quid I've ever spent!

The only thing more realistic than the NGX is the NG (the real one)
And my home cockpit !!! lol. Now if I can just get those 2 pilots out of it I might be able to have a go myself !!

OK, In a nutshell, All my other Aircraft addons are for sale. I dont even want to fly those unrealistic addons with unfinish FMC anymore. You will see what I mean when you buy it.

Absolutely worth every penny! Problems/bugs I think affect small percentage of users and PMDG seems to be working hard to correct them. For me I have been wringing it out for the past couple weeks with zero problems. That is right, zero problems, zilch, nada! Frame rates pretty steady on my machine and I have had some complex flights with the FSX running at one time for 3 days straight without a glitch. Only problems is my expertise which was honed on the PMDG's original 737NG is not quite up to it yet on this fine machine. Lots of new things to learn.

1: If you want a very realistic 737 NG and you have forty-ish quid going spare, then yes it is most certainly worth it, although keep in mind that you do need a fairly decent PC in order for it to run okay, most notably where the amount of RAM you have is concerned. 2: I have had some minor issues with it, but nothing that I could not sort out. 3: PMDG normally sort out glitches with a patch if they can, although they rarely need to do that, nevertheless, with a newish release, it's inevitable that something will crop up given the infinite PC configurations there are out there, since they cannot possibly beta test something on every hardware combo there is. You can be assured that if something is broken, they will fix it, since their reputation stands or falls on the quality of their simulations. 4: It is about as realistic as a PC-based simulated aeroplane can be given current technology, certainly a benchmark for realistic systems modeling in FSX. There are other simulated aeroplanes as good as it, but I doubt that you'll find something better. 5: I think you can only buy it online as a download at the moment although I may be wrong on that score. Well.... If that doesn't help you with your decision...... Great post Al! I can only speak for myself when I say I am 100% satisfied with my purchase. My system (specs in sig) handles it very well. Since I got the NGX I have put 56 hours on it and have only had 2 CTD's (Fatal Error) I also aquired Flightbeam's KSFO, and just today got Aerosoft's AnchorageX. I get between 18-38 FPS at both with my sliders maxxed. The FTX PNW can be a little heavy in areas like CYVR (Vancouver) or KPDX (Portland). I don't dare go anywhere near KSEA (Seattle) with any tube, GA, or stock FSX plane as it allways causes a Fatal Error.

PMDG j41, 747-400x, 747-8i/f, NGX.......Finally!!!!

This plane is so amazing I would have paid the upwards of $200 for it. The issues only effect a small amount of people and it flies like no other. This is the best modeled airliner that's ever been released for any kind of flight simulation platform. Understanding and learning to fly this beauty, I can tell will bring me years and years of happiness. THANKS PMDG
