September 25, 201114 yr This new hotfix is nothing but a problem. Fsx crashed 3 times while trying to select the plane, and then after finally getting that to work, it freezes Fsx and crashes my computer. It was perfect with hotfix 3. September 25, 201114 yr then why did you download and install the new hotfixthey call it a "fix" for a reason. if it ain't broke...DON'T "FIX" IT! FAA: ATP-ME, 737 CA, enough time in the 757/767 to be dangerous 🤠 Matt Kubanda, 7950X3D, 64GB RAM, RTX 5090@4k, MSFS 2024

September 25, 201114 yr Thanks for the completely unhelpful posts guys. He also said to sign your name and not use a fake one. Tyler, have you tried the fix I posted earlier? I'll go get the link. Ok See if your problem sounds like this and give it a try. If not, report back and we'll see if we can get it figured out. http://forum.avsim.n...stall-just-yet/ One other thing of importance is to open the fsx.cfg file and under the "trusted" section, delete the PMDG NGX entries so FS can re verify them the next time you start. September 25, 201114 yr RSR stated quite clearly they aren't responsible for any new issues that arise with the hotfix and that it is unsupported A bit of a 'cop out' though, i (my mistake) installed the hot fix and my previously working aircraft now won't last more than 5 minutes! Perhaps if he had not named it a hot fix, rather a bug riddled virus like update that would stop the aircraft from working then people would have been less inclined to install!! Ian R Tyldesley

Wotan, did you try my suggestions? Several of us had crashes this morning and have worked them out. Chris Hicks
September 25, 201114 yr Was able to fix my CTD after the hotfix with the help of Chris's post (Thanks Chris!!!) Because I'd get a CTD before I could even select a default plane, I was forced to edit my FSX cfg file so that it would load an older saved flt that used the default cessna. After that I've been CTD free! Ryan Syferd (KSEA)
September 25, 201114 yr Wotan, did you try my suggestions? Several of us had crashes this morning and have worked them out. Thank you...yes i have read them and will at some point make the recommended changes. My point being that every hot fix i have installed has made things worse. It's just not a great showing from PMDG Ian R Tyldesley
September 25, 201114 yr RSR stated quite clearly they aren't responsible for any new issues that arise with the hotfix and that it is unsupported How much longer are the PMDG mods going to let you continue to harass paid customers. You have shown yourself to be a software pirate. You use a made up name to sign your posts while admonishing paid customers for not signing their real name. This is a support forum for PMDG customers, not folk who show the NGX running on their laptop then admit to not owning it. Mods sort it out! Glyn

September 25, 201114 yr Best way to install hotfix 4 with a minimum of hassle is to uninstall the NGX completely first. Reinstall with NGX installer, Hot Fix 4, and then Liveries last. So if your having crashes or freezes after installing the hotfix 4 then try that. Paul Deemer
