October 13, 201114 yr Understandable but should people have to go through this much trouble to get it to work? -Matt ChaseUSCG(Student Naval Aviator) @#$% happens.. The plane is very complex and everyone's sims and OS'sdiffer slightly.Believe me, they didn't plan it this way. That's why they took so long torelease the initial version. They *thought* they had everything prettymuch nailed down. But add a few more hundred users with all the varyinghardware and software... uh oh... They start to see things they never sawin the initial round of tests. I know how this can happen.. I used to put out quite a few add-onsmyself, and have worked on a commercial aircraft package in the past.I've put out scenery packages that I thought for sure I had totally naileddown.. Tested every aspect.. All looked good..But then I would bundle it all up, and do something stupid like leaveout a single file that was required, but I didn't notice because it was"hidden" so to speak..So I'd release the package, and the very next day, loads of peopleare complaining it didn't work. All because I left out one single runtimefile, or whatever it was.. Like I say, @#$% happens..Sometimes it's the 3rd party software fault, like in my case. :(But others will have problems that were pretty much out of the 3rd partymakers control, or an issue that was never seen in testing becausethe testers didn't have an *issue* that caused a problem.Sometimes you get a pooch that can't be ... well you know... :/ Mark Keith

Software is a finicky thing and these things will happen but it's not always the users fault. -Matt ChaseUSCG (Student Naval Aviator)
October 14, 201114 yr Would it kill them to possibly throw customers still struggling with freezes a bone and give us some kind of SP1 update? AJ Pongress

October 14, 201114 yr If they would be that close to a release, don´t you think we would know? I somehow doubt that the SP will be released any time soon. Oliver Donner
October 14, 201114 yr Funny how this thread started with "take your time PMDG, get it right" and ends with "If you don't give us an update, I will come round to your house and stomp on your toys" System: MSFS2024, ASUS Rog Stryx Z790-A, Intel i9-14900KF, Asus ROG Ryujin III 360 , Asus Hyperion Case,Rog Stryx 4090 OC, Samsung 970 EVO M.2 SSD, 1Tb Samsung 860 EVO SSD,64Gb G Skill Memory, Asus Aura 1200W Gold PSU,Win 11 ,LG C4 48" 4K OLED Screen., Airbus TCA Full Kit, Stream Deck XL. October 14, 201114 yr If they would be that close to a release, don´t you think we would know? I somehow doubt that the SP will be released any time soon. How would you know? They would just release it instead of saying OMG IT WILL BE RELEASED IN 5 HOURS Look at when the NG was released back a few months ago, no fanfare, just everyone was refreshing the PMDG site, and an announcement was made. Dont be a cynic, I am confident it will come this year Brent Lewis
