I think this question as well as questions about multicore-support are kind of upside-down. Who cares if it´s DX9, DX10 or DX11? - that's no guarantee for good code or a good sim/game and it´s no guarantee for good visuals or good performance too. 3PD have done amazing things with FSX and DX9 and they still move on. So what exactly do you need DX11 for? So the better (or right) question might be: Will it be good graphics AND still good performance? Unfortunately the answer is all the same: We don't know Worried.gif. All we know is, that MS told us to keep a wary eye on performance (and they better do in order to reach out for new customers) and that the pictures show a remarkable improvement in visuals compared to default FSX. PS: My guess nonetheless is, that it will be DX11 (simply due to the fact that DX11 is state of the art for about 2 years now and is a microsoft product) but will not make much use of it - will run on DX10 without much difference.

Flo B.

how about Flight use DX10 as default but you will still see "Preview DirectX 11" in Graphic options?
How funny, for a scary minute I thought you were serious.... oh you were HEEEEELLLLLP, it happening all over again, its a nightmare!!!!! Skull.gifLMAO.gif

To be honest, I really don't care about MS Flight. I don't care it has Games For Windows LIVE instead of GameCrap (Spy). I use VATSIM, not crappy multiplayer. Improved graphics? I have REX for that. Better visuals? DX10 preview. New planes? I already have the NGX from PMDG. So, definitely not buying it. Plus, the transition for many gamers will be hard.

You'll be in line on day two instead of day one.

Fine. Maybe I will. But the point I was trying to get across is that I spent too much money and effort into FSX, that, if whenever MS Flight comes out, I'm afraid I will have to rebuy stuff and addons just for it.

Did you do the same when moving from FS9 to FSX?

No. I never had FS2004. I started the FS business in FS2002. But back then I was too young to learn anything from it (see how the passion carries on!). I would only be able to take off and do some horrible landings.

What if it is just 10? It is not out of the realm of possibility. The good thing will be that you won't have to buy a new video card. (Most of us anyway)
