some get incredible increase in frames, others none at all or very little improvementIncrease in frames is thus not guaranteed.so please note. Give it a try, but so far it seem you either in luck or not.there are examples of people with exact same systems, but with huge difference in results I for one only see about 3-5 frames increase over seatlle. So you will never know if you don't try it. it might be your lucky day..!

I myself for example get very strange behavior with this mod. Near KSEA my frames increase easily to or near 30 fps (at least in pretty fair weather) - mostly. But in day mode I get very short FPS drops to just few fps every now and then and that creates lots of stuttering and that is something frame limiters can't handle. Answer to the problem was to rise ground traffic to 20 %. That lowered the average FPS, but it was much more constant. Setting traffic lower to that point mean't stuttering and with more traffic average fps tends to go low diminishing the effects of the mod. Strange. I need to experiment with this some more Nerd.gif Still, I like it. I even like the the day mode in the night. l seem to have some lightposts left along the largest roads in day mode. There is a lot less of them than in night mode, so the mod is working. I don't know if existing lights are FSX default or what, but my UTX lights are nonethless turned off, that's for sure.

This is so weird. So many simmers having different results. I installed the update and disabled lights and noticed a smother ride and higher fps during the day. Even though fps is minimal, the smoothness is noticeable. At night, fps were up and smoothness was noticeable. Depending on the airplane, I can run at SC & AG Extremely Dense. For those without UTX, it will be dark. But, for those with UTX lights, it will remind you once again how valuable UTX is to FSX.

I get no noticeable increase in fps during the day.

I notice the absence of lights at night - but during the day, I do not see any performance increase. So, you mileage may indeed vary..

Just repeating what I posted at the OrbX forum: Test 1, at Renton Mun facing south-eastFTX Night: 12.5FTX Day: 1844% increaseTest 2, at fall city facing west towards the small townFTX Night: 13FTX Day: 1731% increase

Wow, what an improvement. Prior: 22-24 fps locked at 30 - some micro stuttersScenery Complexity: Extremely DenseAutogen Density: Dense Now:30-32 fps locked at 32 - no micro stuttersMoved Autogen Density to Extremely Dense. Man o Man how nice is this!!! Completely smooth and I see no side effects whatsoever and not a blurry in site around KSEA. I went to dusk and night and I actually prefer the scenery without the pole lights. Thanks a bunch Orbx, I am enjoying immensely. RegardsBob
