November 6, 201114 yr Moderator You mean the PMDG 737 that needed 4 patches and a service pack in less than 2 months? I have all of the CS planes as well as PMDG and both have their issues and both are patched. Your loss.No loss to me, I already own many CaptSim products for FSX that I buy during the holiday sale. At least PMDG gets to a fully patched version within a few months of release, while the 757 has been out for a lot longer and is still getting patched and will still probably never match up to any thing that PMDG or LDS can do. That was my point. At this point its.probably the only "complex" 757 we have for FSX, so we just have to make due with it. Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator

November 6, 201114 yr Moderator Why don't you update it and give it a whirl.-Nothing to lose.Nah, the NGX has me too spoiled now. From here out its going to be only PMDG and LDS products for me in the airliner category, unless someone comes out with something better than what they make. Which is fine since I prefer to fly Boeings. The 757 is no great loss to me anyway. I only bought it because it was on sale and wanted to try something different, but have never really had that much interest in the 757 to start with. Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
November 6, 201114 yr Keep in mind VRS did something like this as well.. If you buy the boxed version, you do get updates, but don't get to post in their support forums. You must contact the developers directly. You can at a later time purchase access to support forums for around 5 dollars.-Damien Damien Furtman Hovering Hellion

We all seem to have accepted the fact that we pay to do the final "beta testing" once a product is released, and some have more issues that others. In one sense that is also what happens in 'real' life, however here we don't have a 'service hanger' we can return the plane to and wait while the 'A and P's' fix it.Case in point...and the subject of this thread...CS 757. I have had since day 1 and had exactly one issue, which was fixed by using a different version of FSUPIC. I have not done any updates to it and it performs beautifully. Others have had nothing but problems, every user is different. It is the same thing with the PMDG737. I got it a few days after release, no problems. I just the other day installed SP1, even though I had zero issues with the original. I still have zero issues, but the PMDG forum is full of users who do (a lot are 'self inflicted').Regardless, I feel bad for those who buy any product and end up not liking it for whatever reason. My only major 'problem' with any plane is deciding which Boeing to fly on any given day, it's hard keeping up a 'type rating' with so many options :-) Jay
November 6, 201114 yr Oh I had that boxed vs. download topic here and I'm actually on your side, Alex. I don't understand what blocks the update path there. See my post.I couldn't trigger a CS statement on this and I also didn't see anything from Just Flight or other box vendors.I only have CS products from the CS download shop, so I'm actually not affected but can feel the pain of reading about updates and not getting them in time.So you are still on 4.4?That sucks! it seems that I won´t have the ability to get it patched to 4.6. I´m stuck at 4.4. Best regards, Steffen Fight time: NGX 737-700: 37,0h; -800: 47,2h
