November 10, 201114 yr Clearly Orbx see a bright future for FSX well beyond the release of Flight.Clearly FSX scenery will be compatible with Flight (we all keep hoping...)Cheers,- jahman.

November 11, 201114 yr Commercial Member Man, the more sceneries ORBX creates, the poorer I become but the richer I become also, as I just love flying through anywhere they create. PNW is still my virtual home and probably always will be, but I'd love for them to create the USA East Coast, Europe and Central America. November 11, 201114 yr Bravo!ORBX 'Blighty'...The UK lends itself to the ORBX treatment as its relatively compact and boasts a wide range of scenery types. Can't wait.Ian
November 11, 201114 yr By half of the answers on that thread, you would think that the UK is currently an addon scenery desert in FSX Christopher Low AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU / 64GB DDR5-6000 RAM / 12GB Nvidia RTX 4070 Super GPU / Gigabyte X870E Aorus Elite Wifi 7 / 1+2TB Samsung Evo Plus M2 Nvme UK2000 Beta Tester
November 11, 201114 yr Cant wait for this.Excellent news!!! MSI Codex 5 10SC-262UK Desktop PC - Intel Core i7-10700, RTX 2060 Graphics, 16GB RAM, 2TB HDD, 256GB SSD.
November 11, 201114 yr When you consider the size of Australia, and the fact the entire country is done by ORBX, it makes me think the entire world is possible. My system which is due for delivery on the 27th October 2011 Intel i5 2500k 4.5ghz Asus GeForce GTX560ti 1024mb GDDR5 Gigabyte Z68AP-D3 Corsair Vengeance Blue 8gb 1600mhz Seagate Baracuda 500GB 6GB/s 16mb Cache Cooler Master Elite case Cooler Master hyper 212 CPU fan G7 780w PSU - I know i need to upgrade this! 32" BEKO HD LCD screen FSX Acceleration + UTX, GEX, REX, GenX VFR UK, all UK2000 airports, Mogwaisoft Shade, many Aerosoft Major Airports And... PMDG's 744X Queen of the skies. Total outlay about £1500. Next i intend on getting a good Yoke and peddles.
November 11, 201114 yr I hear you, Christopher. I'm very happy with the current UK addons, so I'd have preferred another choice for the Orbx plans and resources. E. g. Africa would have been great. Same goes four South America where you only get some 'general' coverage, nothing like PNW or something. But, preferences are different and people may like the Orbx style for the UK, while others are happy with the fine Horizon coverage and the small areas from Earth Simulations for example. I think the amazing UK2000 airports will be supported by both companies though. But, if I understood it correctly, we're talking about the end of 2012 for the Orbx UK sceneries. A year to go.
November 11, 201114 yr By half of the answers on that thread, you would think that the UK is currently an addon scenery desert in FSX No, not a desert. You can go the photoscenery route, and it looks very much better. And of course there are the airports by UK2000.But for people who like autogen and a three dimensional world at low-level, then the UK is crying out for a makeover. The default scenery is awful, and to my eyes even products like GEX do not give a very realistic look at all. I've just downloaded the new freeware Duxford Airfield from ACQ, which is superb. The only problem comes when I leave the airfield boundary and I'm in FSX's version of Cambridgeshire, which looks more like southern France or the Mediterranean.Getting the look and 'feel' of the UK landscape right will be quite a challenge for ORBX, and I look forward to seeing how it goes.Ian
November 11, 201114 yr Indeed great news.FSX will be around long after the release of Flight for one good reason. Availability of addons.Lets take FSX for example. It was over 2 years before we started seeing any decent payware / freeware addons for FSX simply because of the changes in which scenery, aircraft, etc. are developed. It takes quite some time to learn how to develop these great addons that we all love. VATSIM: P2 | I1
November 11, 201114 yr I dont mean to "diss" ORBX, but their sceneries run very bad on most machines due to the extensive amount of autogen. Sure it looks amazing, but what does it worth if the terrain tiles keep getting blurrier and blurrier if you fly above 150 knots :?
