December 12, 201114 yr I've seen some nice screens of that new landing lights effect (they really seem to light up the runway markings at nite instead of washing it out) on planes like the L39 and 737ngx...i was wondering if anyone knows of any GA Prop planes (single or twins) that would include those same type of landing/taxi lights...payware is fine btw.Dave Dave Kalin Excel Classes Computer Lessons
December 12, 201114 yr Orbx has a payware single engine prop called a Lancair that has the new style landing lights and rain on VC windows. Dave Creed

December 12, 201114 yr If I buy one of those addons, can I use the lights on my LevelD? I would love to have real lights, lighting up the runway instead of washing it out, but I am not shure the Shockwave/Redux-thing is similar to the picture above. Will it be just to add the light in the effect folder and edit the effect.cfg or similar?
December 12, 201114 yr No, those landing lights are part of the model and cannot be transferred like the shockwave effects. BTW, the shockwave lights don't really light up the runway they just give off a volumetric effect from the exterior view. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
December 13, 201114 yr Thank you for replying."the shockwave lights don't really light up the runway they just give off a volumetric effect from the exterior view"..- that's what I was afraid of.
December 14, 201114 yr I put this one out a while back. It has the modeled light effect, and you can't beat the price! Look for "thorp_t-18.zip" here in the library. Best Regards,Robert Kerr 3D Modeler & Texture Artist

Look for "thorp_t-18.zip" here in the library.I think I remember the thread where you spoke about working on the plane. Thanks again for the HU and the plane itself. I will fly her later. A huge thanks to people like you, spending time and talent on freeware for others to enjoy. There you go.The cockpit lights are also done nicely. Not too bright.Pretty cool camera definitions on that plane by the way. That chase view is nice (no picture included).
December 14, 201114 yr Author wow, I just noticed this "coming soon" from Carenado:http://www.carenado.com/CarSite/Portal/index.php?accion=incomview&correl=7Ive been waiting years for Flight1 to "redo" their old Meridian for FSX so for me this very exciting news...the only downer for me is that Carenado isn't exactly known for systems modelling. Anyone know anymore about this project from them?I hope they put alot of love into this one all around...I also hope they start using the new illuminating landing/taxi lights. December 15, 201114 yr N2056 - Is there any way we could put the landing light effect you have in your download plane into our existing default of addon planes like the MAAM SIM DC-3?Thanks.

December 15, 201114 yr I wish it were possible, but since it is actually a part of the 3d model it's not something you can add via the aircraft.cfg file. You would need the original model files (the ones from Max, Gmax, FSDS) to do it. Best Regards,Robert Kerr 3D Modeler & Texture Artist
