December 17, 201114 yr I love REX! I haven't used any other environment program so I can't speak for The other offerings. "Love the one you're with" that's what I say. I look forward to the new REX update. Only issue I have with REX is the time it takes to load new textures to the sim after changing themes. 15-20 mins on average. Not a big deal considering the impact it has on the overall visual experience. Oh, and before I forget, I recently noticed some screenies posted of your business jet livery.. where can I get this at? It looks amazing! As for the update, there are some graphical fixes across the board, and we are debating more... although I think folks are 'textured' out for the time being. We'll post some shots in our forum in a while ;) I think you will be shocked at some of the detail. @Ricky76: Thanks for your kind words :) As for your 'issue', if you look in the REX manual on page 14, you will notice point #5 which states "...This time can be significantly reduced (down to 1 minute or so) by un-checking all the water texture options." December 18, 201114 yr might be a silly question... but is REX really necessary if you fly online? IVAO, or VatSim? I thought they have their on weather engine. Or does it just enhance what's on your computer through their weather engine? Only reason I'm asking is because I was considering purchasing it my self, but mainly fly online, and didn't want to waste the money!! But If it's as worth it as I hear people say It's done next week!!!
