Tomaz,I feel like I've answered this question about 10 times already. Many x plane users have said it MANY times. There are good things about x plane and there are good things about FSX. There are also bad things about them as well. We ALL admit this. What the x plane users don't like, is when FSX users come in and exaggerate the criticisms. I've seen posts where people say they get 80fps in FSX but only 9 fps in X Plane 9. THAT is impossible. It's the far fetched, ridiculous comments that provoke a reaction.

Actually this isn't really bad. When Propilot came out you should have seen the MSFS simmers come pouring in there ridiculing etc;. Makes this like a cosy tea party. They haven't showed up here which is a shame, even tho we were on opposite sides of the fence.

Exactly. Replying (truthfully with specifics) to FSX users who keep criticizing X Plane....in, oh, an x plane forum. But you really can't see this, can you?
I see it .....

As for you never having written an autopilot... I'd say you're not qualified to discuss whether 90% is good or bad. ;)
Yes, I have added autopilot functionality in all 4 of my add ons. The latest one being a Sperry. I just don't go bragging about it to prove any points.Does that make me qualified? :(

Did PC Gamer approach Austin Meyers when they somehow heard that the developer of a just released "hyper realistic" flight simulator is using his experience to develop a tool for real world aviation......or...Did Austin Meyers (or an associate) approach PC Gamer with the news that he is using his experience with his brand new "hyper realistic" simulator to develop a tool for real world aviation?Just some more fodder for the conversation. A consummate salesperson, Austin is.

Speaking as a corporate communications advisor, I'd guess the latter. I doubt PC Gamer has much budget for actual reporting, though it's always possible the writer came up with this on his own. More likely Austin or Laminar put them onto it. Which is fine - companies do that all the time and it's one of the main ways that publications are made aware of things. The same happens with the product writeups in Flying, AOPA Pilot et. al. The basic question still is, once he became aware of it by whatever means, was the reporter able to read about it and write about it critically? I'm guessing probably not. But again, it's just a guess...
