Hi,I've installed numerous addons (PMDG737NGX Included) into Prepar3D without having to alter my system registry at all.

I know it's peefectly possible withot modifyng registry. But (if this works) the installer will do it for you, and you won't have to do everything manually :D

Ok guys just a few questions before I start to do my homework on Prepa3D. I was holding out to see what the situation was with FLIGHT before I switched to FSX full time for the PMDG 777. Would you all suggest Prepar3D instead of FSX (putting aside the extra cash spent)Regards

Yeah I want to know to. Is p3d better than FSX with all the add ons?

Mike, I know you were on the Prepar3D thing pretty early on trying various addons. Any chance you could throw something together to let us know how you did it?

It seems that flight will be more an arcade game than a simulator, also probably it will be only at hawaii. I subscribed as a beta tester, if they take me i'll check if i'm authorized to publish some info. I already know i can't upload pics or videos, as per beta contract.

Best bet for P3D, spend the money for a month, test it and see how it works for you. Truth be told I would wait for ver 2.0.

Mike,I saw you posting precious checklists, lot of stuff about FSX to help mates and now also P3d stuff.I am deeply nice you are a part of this community and I would like to thank you a lot.Much appreciated

I've read a little about prepar3d, but I'm trying to understand what the advantage would be versus fsx? If I'm understanding the above correctly, quite a but of fsx software runs on it, so that is positive. I just am not understanding what's different really? Are the graphics better / worse? Do all fsx planes default & payware work with it?

The biggest advanatge of Prepar3D is that it is in current development, so it has the potential to improve, fix bug, and add additional features. Based on FSX, it has already evolved, and contains many additional enhansements, that FSX will NEVER have, as all FSX development has ceased. For example, Prepar3D now supports an underwater environment. It's Multiplayer system allow more than the FSX 2 Players, to share a cockpit. support multiple screens, etc etc.Being almost 100% backward Compatible with FSX, most FSX aircraft and scenery will work without modification in P3D.While the P3D community is current small, it seems to be growing at a reasonable rate, and there is always the excitement of what the next version update will contain. As far as the 737NGX is concerned, hopefully PMDG will consider adding support and tested compatability with P3D.Oh yes, one other MAJOR advantage of P3D, -- on their Forum, you can actually COMMUNICATE with those developeing the product, and they take the time to provide Detailed answers to technical questions, and show a genuine interest in helping their customers, and listening to feedback from those using their product.
