"PLAY". That buttons sums it all up.

What does this sim remind you of? Back in the day, there was a sim similar to this one. This one will probably follow all the footsteps to its demise.

It looks like you can't even start at a parking area and taxi to the runway. It's either select a runway or start in the air. And I have better ground textures in FSX especially with Orbx.Very disappointing :(.

I don't get it... It looks like FSX with one airport and no abilty to mod... They really are dumber than I thought.

It is sad that people think so little of their own word. That video is in serious breach of the NDA the videographer had to agree to in order to fly the beta. Perhaps Microsoft has their problems but no one should violate agreements.Kind regards,

I never judge game graphics, but perhaps overall general look from these preview "HD" videos, and it doesn't look that bad. To this day, streamed video quality is simply rubbish even with "HD" resolutions: these videos are practically copressed to unusable state, so IMO everything looks s***. Even adding to the horrific experience. sometimes online videos are made with cheap video recording software (as private videos sometimes are) and there can be also some terrible frame skipping making video look simply awful.Edit: but to make my self clear, I'm not hm... overall thrilled :(

True but the screening process was no better than "click here if you're over 18" buttons, what can you expect, they should have just made it an open beta.

While everyone burns it to death, including myself yesterday, I have taken the time to fire up this video in full screen mode on YouTube directly and do some screen freezes. And believe it or not, I do find some things I like about what I see. Clearly on-screen navigation is improved and certain reality features look quite nice too.So let me give Microsoft the benefit of the doubt for one moment here. This is just day two of a whole knew concept. Nothing that I know of has been locked down in concrete. And sales of the product drives decisions out in the future. Then a more automated change and update method is a real plus as well.So is this the beginning of the end, or just a beginning of the beginning ? Some of these message posts more than suggest that it is the end of the beginning. I'm not buying that one just yet.In reconsideration mode... And maybe this leak was not so accidental considering yesterday's PR disaster !!!Bob - Las Cruces, NM

Yea I am skeptical about that myself... It is almost a little too well done. Plus the guy is trying to draw your attention to certain things with the mouse... Either a MS ###### or their answers to their facebook. They have been getting slammed from every angle, either they take it or they try and respond. They could dig themselves out of this hole, it isn't quite as arcadish as I was expecting... But still the 3rd party thing they have to iron out.

If the video was in breech of the NDA, how come MS hasn't had it pulled yet? Can they?

He has three beta videos on his channel, the first of which has been pulled, I suspect Youtube is just taking their sweet time.

Is that a freakin' quest compass at the top of the screen? Flight looks even worse than I could have imagined.

The grass texture reminds me what we were used to see in early '90.The taxiway texture is worst than what my Commodore 16 was able to do a while ago.

That can be toggled OFF in the configuration dialog. Pause the video clip when the dialog is opened and note the options. Note also what is NOT in the dialog...
