Well said, although I'm not sure MS will be disappearing anytime too soon. It's a shame Bill Gates isn't around to make them produce a decent simulator!

This place doesnt even represent 0.01% of gamers in the world, they can boycot it as much as they like, wont have any influence at all on Flight succes or fail.

And this is the fantasy that's constantly sold to us. Explain how companies like Aerosoft, Flight1, and the many developers are able to turn a profit with add-ons if the FS community was that irrelevant? It's time the BS stops and the understanding is clear all customers matter to any version of FS's sales. Word of mouth, this community, and third party development has been the magic success for FS for years. Where in the world are you getting your numbers from that this community represents 0.01% revenue for this title? DO you work for Microsoft or just blowing smoke? There's no way for you to know what your saying outside of the fact of making a dismissive statement at the expense of this whole community. We matter make no mistake about it. :Hmmmph:Flight will fail if this community doesn't embrace it because there's nothing there for a gamer to want. If they added some WWI combat into the sim it may get noticed but having a GA sim that only allows takeoff/landings, brain dead missions, and flying through loops in the sky, who's going to be interested in that? If we don't embrace it (which we won't) who's left? That's why it's doomed to fail and being given away for free at the onset...Somebody really stupid is as the helm of the game studios at Microsoft. Another layoff is in order for utter stupidity...

I won't be boycotting it, it simply doesn't have anything that would make me want to try it. If I want to play a simple game instead of flying a complex aircraft between continents, I choose Angry Birds.

The funny side of the matter is doing that you are really boycotting Flight. ( I agree btw )I expect one day or another someone in MS will seriously think to close the project just for the above mentioned reason that will be applied by gazillions of simmers all around the world.

People keep saying "try it for yourself, how do you know it sucks?"How do I know it sucks? Because EVERY beta tester I've talked to said it isn't a simulator, it's a game where you go around balloons and through rings. No other source is more reliable than the ones who have already played it and uninstalled it from their computers.

A lot of people on here are kicking up a Fuss over flight and refusing to try it... ITS FREE FOR GODS SAKE?In the long run exposing the flight sim world to newer people may be better as gaining exposure to Flight will inevitably make newcomers want more once they get into it. If all goes well flight may well evolve into the sim we have all been hoping for... However trying to kill off the game will NOT make Microsoft think "Hey, Maybe we should revive the Flight Sim series" it will lead them to give up on the genre for good.I just see so many users hating flight with a passion and making lame jokesI reckon flight is the gateway to a new generation. Trying to pick up a new fanbase before turning back to what we wanted.

Well it's not so much a boycott as much as I rather pound nails into my eyes then play that crap.
