January 8, 201214 yr Hi I am trying to out how to tell which airports gce noise abatement. Procedures I know ksna does but where do I find a lust of others
January 8, 201214 yr Many if not all will list it in Briefing part of the jepp plate set, if you have access to that. Also AIP or whatever FAA version of that is called (NATS?) will likely help. --Peter Fabian
January 8, 201214 yr Author Hey I use airnav.com for my approach plates n side stars don't see them there
January 8, 201214 yr Commercial Member sometimes there is a published SID/STAR with NA procedures but more often there isn't. Sometimes for smaller airports there may be locally published NA procedures but other than that the only place I have seen them is in the Jeppesen data. Most larger airports dont have a specific NA SID/STAR so you're likely not seeing anythign wrong. Look at the DECIBELLE departure at DEN or the REDEYE STAR at LAX. Those are the only two I know off the top of my head. Noah Bryant
January 8, 201214 yr What about Sydney (YSSY) . They are pretty strict down there especially at night. I once had a Qantas pilot on VATSIM tell me that night landings were not allowed? This is probably bogus but I do know they have some strict noise abatement procedures. Edited January 8, 201214 yr by UAL115 Paul Deemer
January 8, 201214 yr You are certainly allowed to land at any time of day on VATSIM, even if it was illegal in real life. Johan Pettersen
January 8, 201214 yr You are certainly allowed to land at any time of day on VATSIM, even if it was illegal in real life. Everyone knows you can land anywhere anytime on VATSIM.. The OP wants to simulate the real thing. Edited January 8, 201214 yr by UAL115 Paul Deemer

If you don't get in by that time you are sent on to your alternate. John-Alan Pascoe

If you don't get in by that time you are sent on to your alternate.23:00 local it is. but yes the rest is true, even if on short final and it ticks to 23:00 you're told to go around and bug out to either your origin or alternate.CheersSean Kind Regards, Sean McCormackFPSPLAYERS.COM Game and Voice Servers

January 9, 201214 yr Also, just throughly read the approach plates for the airport that you are flying into. I know for some airports with very restrictive noise abatements, their are specific plates detailing the procedures.
January 9, 201214 yr Heathrow also has a curfew on landings and takeoffs. Maybe 2300-0600 if I remember but I think it varies on the season. I think they're also allowed a certain amount to land before that as well. Gavin Price
January 10, 201214 yr 23:00 local it is. but yes the rest is true, even if on short final and it ticks to 23:00 you're told to go around and bug out to either your origin or alternate.Well they sure do take getting a good nights sleep seriously in Sydney. :( Paul Deemer

January 10, 201214 yr wouldnt you like to get a good nite sleepI always get a good nights sleep cause I can't hear a thing. I was just thinking what the backlash would be like if they said you couldn't land at night at say JFK for example. This is your captain: We missed our window to land and all New York Airports are currently closed for the night. We are now diverting to Cleveland for an 8 hour layover until morning. Edited January 10, 201214 yr by UAL115 Paul Deemer
