January 12, 201214 yr Ryan,Look at post #14 please. Do you have that problem with the lights as well ?ThanksNo I don't see that... do you have any shader mods? I've seen people with square light issues before... can't remember what it was from.I can confirm that the G500 does display the flightplan from the RXP units, and it even shows the route legs/courses/distances when you access the deeper menus. I didn't get to finish my flight, but so far I think it is pretty neat and fun aircraft. I also got the PFD/MFD to adjust brightness by accessing the AUX menu of the G500. The click spots are a little tricky on the G500, but once you get them figured out they are quite simple.I finally found the clickspot for the push knob - very tiny just under the knob itself. How did you get the FP entered in the RXP unit to show on the G500? I'm using a 430w-only setup and the FP does not show in the G500.Any ideas? January 12, 201214 yr That's strange, I didn't do anything special to make it appear. I am using the RXP GNS530 instead of the 430. Shane Gavin
January 12, 201214 yr Figures... I'm guessing it has something to do with the GPS in the top slot.... uhhhhAnd I can't enter anything into the top GPS because the soft keys don't work.... January 12, 201214 yr Commercial Member Also, I'm suprised there's no DME readout in the plane.Thats what I said to my CFI when I started flight training. I had taught myself old-school navigation with FS, and when it came time for that i my flight training I pointed out that there was no DME. He said, oh you just plug the VOR into the GPS and it gives you the DME...I asked, Doesn't that kind of defeat the purpose? Noah Bryant

SO if you have a Flt Pln in the RXP it will display it in the G500 just like it would in the real plane? Can you shopw some screenshots? I tried it but it didnt work! I tried it but it didnt work!Let me guess. you've selected the GNS430W only option? See about two posts above yours... I have the same issue.IMHO the RXP needs to drive the G500... so if the user selects 430W the 430W should be on top of the default gps530.Thats what I said to my CFI when I started flight training. He said, oh you just plug the VOR into the GPS and it gives you the DME...I asked, Doesn't that kind of defeat the purpose?Yep... no DME is sorta a loss to me because it provides trend information... handy for arcs :) But they emailed me and said they may incorporate one into a patch at some point. So I've got most my issues resolved but the huge letdown so far is of course the RXP GNS430W not driving the G500 and the inability to program their default GPS530. I've seen people with square light issues before... can't remember what it was from.No shader mods here. Thanks anyways it must be something on my end.Edit: On their facebook page they said they fixed the issues with the external lights, they increased everybody's downloads so that we can download the package again. January 12, 201214 yr I've written Carenado a more specific email regarding the 430W disabling the stock gps530 and the lack of flight plan showing. Perhaps we can solve this soon. January 12, 201214 yr I was able to develop about 100kts and take off fully feathered. I would not think this would be possible with the real aircraft?Once airborn then it began to decay.BobBob there's something seriously wrong the way you operate the JetPROP.Feathered you aren't going anywhere. Even if you have the prop lever is fully aft, the prop isn't feathere! You need the key command for prop RPM decrease to actually feather the prop. The prop RPM in feather is around 400RPM.That's the same with most add-ons (and the default planes) because there's no actual stop on the prop lever in FSX to keep you from accidently feathering the prop. For take off and landing makes sure that the prop control is full forward (2200RPM)Can't try it as I'm presently sitting in Dubai, but it looks as if you are trying to fly with the prop control fully aft.And another indication of that problem is the fact that you need that much power on approach. That's definitely not the case. Quite the contrary. The Vmo of 172kts can be exceed with approx 50% of the available power at low altitude.-----------------------------------------------------For those with the frame rate question. The 'worst' Carenado plane on my PC is the A36 and the JetPROP is way better. Very similar to the 337. That's my own experience as well. Edited January 12, 201214 yr by bstolle
