January 30, 201214 yr I just started back with vatsim after getting the 737, I had made the flight from seattle to portland countless times so i figured it would be a good starting point. With everything set I went to taxi and horns would blow as I increased or decreased the thorttle. Worse yet when I went to takeoff it jumped into the air by itself going into a stall. I fought it as long as I could but trying to talk with vatsim at the same time was to much so I shut it down. I tried again with the same settings not connected to vatsim and it worked fine. Anyone out there ever had this problem?
January 30, 201214 yr Rule number 1 - Disregard all talks with the controller in a situation when you are fighting for the plane - just fly the first jet and save the situation. Only after you have the plane under control you should contact ATC for further instructions. As for the problem I havent seen such behaviour. I can't see how this can be related with VATSIM either. Maybe you can try again to go online on several different airports to see if the problem persist. Regards, Martin Martinov / VATSIM 1207931
January 30, 201214 yr If you are using FSInn, try this. I had a similar problem in that my plane would move backwards while on the taxiways if I pulled the throttle to idle.In windows, click on the start button, all programs, FSFDT, FSInn UI.Click set in the FSInn UI. Click on network, then peer to peer. Click peer to peer disabled in the top left.Doing that solved all my problems on VATSIM. Sometimes I even had a plane that would follow me. Hope this helps. Anyone out there ever had this problem? The warning which was triggered was pretty sure the takeoff warning. So something wasn't set to takeoff configuration. As you're talking about having problems to control the aircraft maybe you forgot to set your flaps. When flying my first few VATSIM flights I also forgot some tings because of the high workload. That'll change when you get used to VATSIM with the time.I don't beleave that your problem is caused by the VATSIM software. You surely only forgot to do something which was relevant for your takeoff. Try it a few times more, maybe it'll wort better then. Greetings from the 737 flightdeck!

January 31, 201214 yr Can you show us a screenshot of the panel while the warning is on? Maybe we can find the fault togeather then. Greetings from the 737 flightdeck!

Maybe you can try again to go online on several different airports to see if the problem persist. In addition to this, remember that if you hear that warning horn when moving the throttles, you should close them, STOP, and assess what the situation is. Obviously, there is something that hasn't been configured correctly (probably flaps, but look at your checklist to see if anything obvious has been omitted). We've all taken off when something didn't seem right, only to have bad consequences afterwards. My worst one was wondering why the pressurization was acting strange, until I realized I had taken off with the doors open. Oooops. If you're flying on Vatsim, just tell the controller you'll need a few moments to check things out. If he needs you to vacate the runway, he'll just tell you to taxi off of it, onto the taxiway. No harm done. Ron Priever

My dog growls when something isn't right or if I get too rough when we rough house, if I push him much farther, I risk learning the lesson that you shouldn't push things too far the hard way.You plane's sounding warnings telling something's not right. Stop. Assess. Fix. Try again. As a side note, controllers aren't sitting there with a stop watch. We're not sitting there with grading cards. We're not there to judge you. We're simply keeping other people away from you, and you away from them. Slow down, use the check lists, and make sure you have everything set up. If the common "problem" here is being connected to live ATC, it seems more of the issue is you're rushing because the situation (workload) is slightly different. Over 90% of my flying in the NGX has been on VATSIM, with no problems.I got the horn in the past months until I stopped arming spoilers before takeoff.try do not arm it.I had this problem for a few takeoffs because of a carryover from the MD-11. It was part of my flow, so I had to train myself out of it. It definitely confused me a few times, though, because everything else was perfect. Kyle Rodgers
