Please fasten your seatbelts, as the ride down may be ignorantly bumpy. Thanks for flying with this thread! We know you have a choice in sharing your information and hope you join us next time when you choose to do so!Happy flying! Flight attendants, please prepare the cabin!" Kyle Rodgers
January 31, 201214 yr I got the horn in the past months until I stopped arming spoilers before takeoff.try do not arm it.That happen to me as well when I flew first time, you should really check your checklist and verify all instrument, it can be pressurazation, yaw damper, no autobrake, no trim, no flap, and so on SquawkBox can't arm any bell on NGX simulation even if you do not set your Squawk Mode C before entering in the runway .
February 1, 201214 yr As a side note, controllers aren't sitting there with a stop watch. We're not sitting there with grading cards. We're not there to judge you. We're simply keeping other people away from you, and you away from them. Slow down, use the check lists, and make sure you have everything set up. Sound advice Kyle, its easy to feel like youre under pressure when youre lined up on the runway but if somethings not right you should take your time to sort it out, let tower know your issue and they can route other traffic out of the way, im sure they enjoy the challenge :) Dean Stringer
February 1, 201214 yr Author If you are using FSInn, try this. I had a similar problem in that my plane would move backwards while on the taxiways if I pulled the throttle to idle.In windows, click on the start button, all programs, FSFDT, FSInn UI.Click set in the FSInn UI. Click on network, then peer to peer. Click peer to peer disabled in the top left.Doing that solved all my problems on VATSIM. Sometimes I even had a plane that would follow me. Hope this helps. well I was using squak box and thought i would try FSinn but when i went to install it I got an error "error opening file for writing" can you help?Thomas Thompson
February 1, 201214 yr I can tell you VATSIM is not a fault. This is a pilot error of an NGX operation and nothing else.VATSIM (be that SB4 or FSINN, btw. I recommend SB4) doesn't interfere with the NGX or any other airplane's operation.I suggest you seriously review your takeoff settings and your checklists. There is time on VATSIM for everything. Been flying exclusively online since 2003 and have never experienced something you describe. There should and must be no horn on takeoff when you push the throttles. I see already one error in your postings... takeoff flaps 10? That isn't right... is the trim set? Is the FMC programmed correctly? Are all brakes and chokes off? Is the MCP configured correctly? NGX is complex and you gotta be firm at flying it.
February 1, 201214 yr well I was using squak box and thought i would try FSinn but when i went to install it I got an error "error opening file for writing" can you help?Did you install FSCopilot first? If not, you need to.I see already one error in your postings... takeoff flaps 10? That isn't rightWhats wrong with that? I use 10 almost all the time without an issue. Jay

My checkride in 1969 was easier then setting up some of these sims but i want to thank all of you for your help Im sure I will work through it...Thanks again maybe FSINN might do the trick... February 1, 201214 yr I got the horn in the past months until I stopped arming spoilers before takeoff.try do not arm it.Why would you arm spoilers for takeoff? February 1, 201214 yr I heard that using IVAO fixes this problem ;)Whats IVAO? :( lets not start this kind of thing.wycliffe
February 1, 201214 yr Why would you arm spoilers for takeoff? You do that in MD-11 (and 82 IIRC). Apparently a lot of us have been changing types recently... --Peter Fabian
February 1, 201214 yr well I was using squak box and thought i would try FSinn but when i went to install it I got an error "error opening file for writing" can you help? You need to perform the following:Run fsxfix.exe from the download section of http://flightsim.apollo3.comMake sure you right click the file first and then click run as administrator. That should fix your FSInn installation problem. Additionally, there is a great post on VATSIM detailing how to install FSInn. Make sure you follow that exactly. There is a certain order you have to install in, and then you have to run a module one time, then close it, etc.Hope this helps. Kevin Witt
February 1, 201214 yr Whats wrong with that? I use 10 almost all the time without an issue.I dunno, but maybe too much drag for his config...Other than that, no problems. Yeah, no spoiler on NGX.
February 1, 201214 yr Why would you arm spoilers for takeoff?in case of rejected take-off... I've always armed it with the LDS and no problems.I don't know if NGX deploy automatically spoilers if I apply reverse trusth during take-off roll Giorgio Nicola www.flyafa.com
