Secret Project #1: This one is a classic!

It's not going to be a hardcore RXP type simulation - it's better than the default but it is a wrapper around it partially. We have the ability the swap the RXP 430W into it in 3D ala what RealAir or the Carenado planes have.
Ok, I have no clue what they do, but sounds fair anyways, thanks! Big%20Grin.gif Amazing preview so far, just out of the blue! :(sig.gif

  • Gday I just wish PMDG would have kept it a secret, in fact i wish they would have kept the 777, 747v2 a secret as well, and only reveal them when they are ready for release. Jeff

  • I don't buy this. FSX code doesn't or hasn't changed much at all either. Once it's learned, like PMDG obviously already has showing with there previous products, it should be cake walk for a pro to m

Why avoid flying just because one plane by one company hasn't been released? Plenty of other great aircraft to enjoy.

I watched Northeast Airlines operate DC-6B's,DC-3's and Convair 240's out of Nantucket Massachusetts,in the 60's,when I was a kid.We were lucky to see various large piston pounders in and out of ACK,The one's that really caught my attention, were the USN P-2 Neptune, and the HU-16 Coast Guard Albatross.I was hooked on aviation after that.

What a beautiful looking aircraft. An absolute must buy no question... cannot wait to see it gracing the skies of my FSX! Any DC suits me, and that panel looks gorgeous to sit behind...Love the idea of the RXP compatibility as well, thanks for that...Perhaps too early to ask, but I would be interested to know if you have the prop sounds such that a noticeable change in sound occurs on prop pitch change... I assume these babies are constant speed props, so I assume you would hear the prop maintaining its rpm even if the throttle levers are retarded... I hope you understand what I mean... it is possibly my personal pet peeve in FS that pitch change in some models has no effect on the sounds...So, when is it out? (DUCKS DOWN TO AVOID THE FLYING ABUSE INCOMING!) :)I know it is out when it is out, and not before... though it certainly looks advanced in development from the images posted...Andrew

Only vintage plane I'll buy :) Can we expect 3D propellors modelled? I think those are the coolest things blum.gifI heard about this plane. What is the purpose of this Redbull plane? Is it just a flying advertisement, or do they fly cargo with it? Also, where would it fly (if it did)? Looks awesome blum.gif
Have a look over here: http://www.flyingbul...Douglas-DC-6-B/I think it's a really great attempt to do that nice oldie - I like the idea (despite that I just bought the NGX few days ago... ;), too, to get the RedBull Business DC-6 on my desktop. I was there at Salzburg about 10 years ago and could watch the stuff doing the refurbishment work; I may remember that Didi Mateschitz (austrian owner of Red Bull and the Flying Bulls, http://en.wikipedia....rich_Mateschitz) bought its plane in Namibia, too. I never got a personal contact (he dislikes press people, but it could be a good idea for PMDG to contact him as well - maybe he would like provide some kind of of sponsoring your work... ?!Regards Mike (from EDDM)

Awesome news! I love nothing better than a good propliner, always more fun than a jet where you can't see much going on. I'll enjoy flying around in this DC-6, probably Delta domestic stuff, where the Stratocruiser's cool features don't matter as much. Since this is numbered, I can't wait for #2, and perhaps there's a #3?

It looks great guys! In the meantime, go rack up some hours in the A2A 377 or B-17, it will help put your brain in multi radial engine proceedures mode. PMDG can't please everyone, so I hope PMDG suprise #2 / 3 is also whatever the PMDG team feels like making.

What serious airline simmer could do without the PMDG MD-11? Still my favourite addon of all time.Cheers, Chris D
I agree with you: this has been a real head scratcher for me.I am definately in with this Douglas DC-6.

How many secret projects are in the works ???? I hope this is not a secret.Evan Banalian.

I would love them to make a Fokker Friendship. We had a lot of these in New Zealand many years ago. They are the best :(
