Secret Project #1: This one is a classic!

Featured Replies

This is all I'm waiting for in the sim world. Is it weeks, months, years away? Spend my Xmas cash on something else and miss out? A little update would be helpful.

Look at the latest update, the next update will be "Everything PMDG". So expect something with that!

  • Gday I just wish PMDG would have kept it a secret, in fact i wish they would have kept the 777, 747v2 a secret as well, and only reveal them when they are ready for release. Jeff

  • I don't buy this. FSX code doesn't or hasn't changed much at all either. Once it's learned, like PMDG obviously already has showing with there previous products, it should be cake walk for a pro to m

Why avoid flying just because one plane by one company hasn't been released? Plenty of other great aircraft to enjoy.

i hope pmdg everything is soon, cause i am starting to, loose interest.

no no it will be ready in mid august!!!hum....2013!!!

But , at least , we can be sure it will be perfect!!

Lesson I learned: PMDG's definition of "soon" is at least 1 year. Don't expect this bird until Q1 2013.

I can fully understand why these projects take so much time to complete. I am a custom flight case builder, and for the most part, every case I design and build is very different and specific. In order to give my clients exactly what they want takes a lot of time in planning, layout and making sure every possible requirement is covered. Sometimes I spend hours at home finetuning a clients case design to make sure it meets all their needs.

I can only imagine how much is involved in recreating a real life aircraft and it's structure, dynamics, technology, visual model and all the logic that really makes PMDG a sought after product. I strive and sometimes even take more time than I probably should, to make sure my clients get exactly what they want. In saying that, I am more than happy to wait for an absolutely mindblowing, detailed and accurate product that meets all my needs and standards. Quality takes time, and we all know the level of quality these guys put out. The amount of time taken to produce that level of quality may be vast, but I think we can all agree, the wait is worth it.

Just my opinion.

I just opened my wallet to find the money I have set aside for this bird, is falling victim to moths. I can only hope I can give it to you before it turns to dust. Lol. Seeing as our (Canadian) bills are made of a plastic polymer, they may just might last a while longer. My patience however........ lol.

...Then PMDG should NOT to use the word SOON!!!

...Then PMDG should NOT to use the word SOON!!!

- soon is a purley subjective word. Its used to keep customers informed that they are no longer at the begining of development, but somewhere near the end.

Its pretty simple, and there is no need to tell them what they should and shouldnt do.

Always amazes me how long something game software related takes to get done. 5 guys can build a house in less than a month but it takes 2 years for professionals to build a virtual airplane. LOL.

very different things. professional contractors have known how to build houses for years and they don't change all that much.. each airplane add on requires lots of experimenting on how to get it to fly right.

I don't buy this. FSX code doesn't or hasn't changed much at all either. Once it's learned, like PMDG obviously already has showing with there previous products, it should be cake walk for a pro to make and work with it.
