Nice work, really. Personally I'm not much into flying old junk, though.

How can you call a classic DC-6 junk...
Not you're typical real aviation nut. That's how! You have to remember a lot of simmers are firstly gamers, and then have a somewhat passing interest in aviation. For the aviation enthusiast and also pilots that happen to sim, the typical response is "ooo boy! a DC-6" or something similar. Or so that's the trend I see.

Wrong, at least as far as I'm concerned. Based on my age alone, I'm certainly not the typical gamer with a somewhat secondary, passing interest in aviation. I wouldn't hold a real-world pilot's license if it were so.I just don't happen to be overly enthusiastic about anything vintage. If I want to fly old stuff, I can go to my local flying club. They've got a nice assortment of old russian fighters, biplanes, and what not.As for the PC simulation, I'm more interested in learning about the multi-million-dollar computerized stuff that is flown in todays commercial world and which I personally will probably never get my hands on.But that's just me.Anyway, denying anyone who doesn't stand frozen in awe when spotting a DC-6 or other relic of that time the title of "aviation nut" is a litlte presumptuous ;)

And calling the DC-6, Grand Old Lady of the Skies, that ushered in mass passenger transportation by air, a piece of old junk isn't ??...It's like saying " I LOVE pop music but i hate Elvis, Little Richard, Chuck Berry, James Brown and all that old lot. " Probabely don't give a hoot about the Beatles and the Stones neither... Just%20Kidding.gifKeep on programming your beloved FMC and have fun setting up your MCP and watch simulated computers do the flying while belching out coffee burbs. We have no time for coffee because we like to do the flying ourselves with the sweet sound of 'Concerto for four Pratt & Whitney R-2800 Double Wasp 2500hp Radials in D Major' in our ears just because we ARE real aviation nuts.THANKS A MILLION, PMDG, for finally doing justice to one of the most significant examples of the Golden Years of Airliner History !! :( :( :Applause:Old junk !!??.... HAAAAA!!!! Just wait, they'll show you !!! :yahoo:cheers, jan
