February 24, 201214 yr That looks as good as ORBX as far as scenery goes.... The cockpit self shadowing also looks quite incredible.
February 24, 201214 yr i guess only a few people know you can also have cockpit shadows in fsx :(Yeah but only in DX10 AFAIK. And that´s darn buggy (Well, what in FSX isn´t that? :()Anyways, that´s really amazing how X-Plane looks like with these freeware tools. :smile:I wish a similar tool could be made for FSX. February 27, 201214 yr Author I wish a similar tool could be made for FSX.Hello !Thank you for the comments. This tool for the sceneries (OSM2XP) has already been tested with FSX:http://www.libertysi...tart=40#p289572With OSM2XP, you may soon be able to export OpenStreetMap objects (water towers, light towers, wind turbines, ...) to FSX. You can read more in the french AVSIM forum about this.Happy flying ! Edited February 27, 201214 yr by MdMax Georges - OpenStreetMap - Ubuntu GNU/Linux -
March 28, 201214 yr Oh well, given the other thread and this one I am pulling down 2.5 gig of osm data for france and will give it a go.
March 28, 201214 yr Beautiful shots again, MdMax, thanks !Are you using v10 roads ? I've just read that it's possible now to keep these with the new beta version of g2xpl.Osm2XP looks even better now with non-flat roofs. This is the perfect complement to photo scenery. And for free !Cheers !Pascal
