Actually just about every reasonably large payware and freeware airfield I own (and some small ones too) for XP9.7 features some airplanes at gates. Even some animated things like baggage loading, fire trucks rolling around, and helicopters spooling up.I'm sure Aerosoft won't forget them either.

HelloBut do they ever move ?, Its going to be hard to do a convincing amount of Ai at a large airport with XP10's Ai limitations.
There is a post with a few preview pics (pre beta) in the Aerosoft forums (in German) for the X-Plane version of their Zürich airport scenery:http://forum.aerosof...re-beta-bilder/
HelloIt looks like some of Aerosofts very early FS9 scenery, why the lack of quality textures compared to something like this:http://www.aerosoft.de/_php_projekte/_php_screenshots/screenshots.php?sp=fsx&p=friedrichshafenxAerosoft do not seem to be putting the same amount of effort into their XP10 scenery.

I guess its not so much a question of effort but texture resolution. I'm not 100% sure but I think FSX allows texture sizes of 4096 x 4096 pixels whereas X-Plane textures are limited to a maximum of 2048 x 2048 pixels. I think thats a pity because everything looks better with higher resolution textures.Plus you should also keep in mind that those shots are pre beta.

Not only this. The first airports for XPX has to develop a workflow for them what they have to do in XPX.Will there be something like AES in the future? How much AI traffic will occur on this airport. They do not know.So it is a bit ridiculous to compare it to something like Friedrichshafen, which is the result of a very large line ofother airport developments.

HelloThey do know, the answer is 20. and I still think XPX users are being short changed here. There does not seem any reason why they are not doing the XPX airports in the same quality and detail as the FSX versions. Many folks are managing to import Aerosoft sceneries into XPX so there cannot be that much difference between the models and textures.

This is the current limit, but what will be the value in 10.3 ? We don't know!

That's the difference. They have to look a bit behind the scenes to understand what might be possible. At this moment they are a long way from finishing something as long as WED 1.2 is not ready.

Oooops....I only fly on VATSIM so never use X-Plane AI aircraft/ATC in XP9/XPX.At least when they are moving its a "real" pilot on the controls. And I save frames as an added bonus. Anything else is just...scenery Big%20Grin.gif .But I do realize some people coming over from FSX prefer and expect the comings and goings of AI activity....fair 'nuff.**edit**The only time I use AI traffic/ATC with FSX these days is strictly for the odd review purpose.

Don't miss AI in the air, but it is nice to have planes going about their business when I'm taxiing/taking off etc.I did a nice hop this morning in the PMDG NGX and really appreciated the "life" that AI traffic brings to the airport ambience.Would obviously love the same in XP10, ergo, what Ted said. :)

Indeed some lovely shots! It is awesome to see some large 3PD groups get on-board with a platform with such enormous potential.

I'd like to see some detailed static aircraft at XPX airports for sure. For me, it doesn't matter if the AI number is limited to 20 or not because I have to turn off the AI so that my aging computer runs the sim fluidly. I'd rather see populated gates and ground activity instead of other planes in the sky. I know it's probably just me that feels this way because a lot of folks have more powerful systems than I do. I guess another option would be to learn how to edit scenery and place objects on my own.
