Nice photos, but wrong forum. Should be in the Real Aviation photo forum below the screenshot forum. Also while I'm sure there are top secret projects there, Edwards is not a Top Secret base. It's the USAF's main test center. All military aircraft especially fighters are tested there before becoming operational. It was also the site where the X-Planes (Not the sim :() like the X-1, and X-15 were tested, and also was a well used landing site for the Space Shuttle. Now if it were Area-51, that's Top Secret!!:(

LOL, by the titile of the post I though it was going to be some Area 51 pics. I agree Edwards isn't really top secret, but its a fun place to go. When I lived in Victorville back in the late 80's and early 90's I used to go to the Open House every year when I was in October. They used to also have a NASA tour that operated a few days a week and went to that a few times as well. One time after the NASA tour was over my brother and I drove around the base a bit and found the burned down ruins of Pancho Barnes old place. I was pretty cool walking around there and thinking about all the famous pilots who used to go to the Happy Bottom Riding Club back in the 40's and until it was burned down. There's so much history at that base and it would surely have been a cool place to have been stationed at or involved with back between the mid 40's thru the 70's.

Just another spam seeker! Edwards AFB is not secret! I have a book on it. It is just a huge base north of LA!!!!So if the OP gets angry with this comment he can just remember that the title of his post is just a little BS!!!

Geez, Daniel, I am so sorry about the misleading post title. It seems almost everyone but you last 2 really enjoyed seeing and hearing the content. I did not intend to spoil your day. I simply passed on a website link for some fastastic avaition photos that I received from an old friend. No, a spam seeker, I'm not. BTW, how is spam defined where you come from. Was it sent to you without permission? Do you feel violated somehow? Here is a bit of the original email for you to view. Careful, could be some spam included according to you maybe.Ray
