March 13, 201214 yr I was surprised to see you back here since you stopped flying the JF737-200 .. you sure did a lot of flying / testing in the very short time you had it.Well, my Saitek yoke does not have your problem ... normal trim wheel actions, no headache. You don't need to get upset, because other people don't like what you like, y'know :wink:I really don't see why you're making a 'dig'........ You're right, I didn't fly it a lot; but enough to see (the same as others are reporting above) that there is a problem with the autopilot (actually, several problems). You have said that you fly 2D etc etc, so clearly you are a very different market to the people who value a high resolution VC, HD audio, and all of the other features that come with a 2012 addon for FSX, at this pricepoint. :(.....live and let live.... it is quite clear that I am not alone in believing that this is a very low quality release for FSX in 2012, at it's pricepoint. March 13, 201214 yr I don´t have a saitek, just a logitech stick with no special configurations and the trim wheel don´t stop.Hello Flavio,I did a short flight 7 minute video of my in flight trim wheel .. normal operation. The file size is 750MB avi file .. and ideas where I can send it to be viewed? This was my first recording .. I think the file is so large because I recorded my full screen 1920x1080.Maybe there is a way to chop it down and keep the important screen area ...? Thus make a smaller file. Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW
March 13, 201214 yr Hello!I think you have to convert it to a lower quality to post in youtube or something. Thanks! March 13, 201214 yr My Altitude Call outs are also nearly non-existent. Instead of a clear "50, 40, 30, etc" I get a tiny (I mean nearly inaudible) sound that resembles a hiccup... Yes, a literal hiccup. The rest is just okay. For $45 I feel pretty bad about the purchase. Pretty bad indeed. And that's coming from a 737 Classic fanatic.I have that same problem with the altitude callouts, the altitude alert also sounds a bit funny. On another note, I got a reply in an email from them that said if there is enough interest in the sperry 177, they said it would be a considered addition. So, if you prefer the later ap shoot them an email. Todd Fleck
March 13, 201214 yr I got a reply in an email from them that said if there is enough interest in the sperry 177, they said it would be a considered addition.I've bumped the 'would be nice thread' up on that aspect. Maybe it helps. Thanks for the HU.
March 13, 201214 yr Hello!I think you have to convert it to a lower quality to post in youtube or something. Thanks!Flavio,I did a video (my first, so sorry for the technical flight procedures errors while recording this) just to get the JF737-200 elevators moving and see how they respond with my Saitek yoke and throttle setup.I put it on U-tube and it will be available for a short time just to show what I am seeing at the moment and get some initial feedback. The idea here is to get a better video to replace this one when I do a real flight and use the recording software to record specific segments during the flight. This video took an hour + to upload (769 Megs) to utube .. so I need to adjust the recording (as in learn how to record while flying) defaults (like not a full screen 1920x1080) to cut the file size for uploading .Sometimes it is easier to show what is or is not working in a video. This is the result of my first try at all this:http://youtu.be/o5yoMtBb5jo Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW
March 14, 201214 yr Mmm, Vonmar, it seems you're just seem determined to tell everyone that they're not really experiencing the stated problems, just because you aren't, :(I can tell you why these issues are happening for most, but not you. :) ------->.......It is because you are setting up and operating the aircraft using the 2D panels, which uses the direct panel logic. It is when flying exclusively from the VC that the problems will be experienced. PSS (Black Box's predecessor) had issues with this on every FS9 plane they ever made (and ported to FSX). It seems they are still using the same 2004 methodology to build complex planes in 2012.So > try flying this aircraft exclusively with 2D panels (something that very few simmers do these days, with high rez VCs and TrackIR),then > try flying it exclusively from the VC.............and not the different behaviours in Autopilot, Systems, even Sounds.Great airplane for the 0.2% of people who still use flat, 2D panels.PS..... Sorry if my presence on this thread, isn't convenient for you, Vonmar :( David. >> i7 2600k, 3.4Ghz, (3.8Ghz TurboBoost), 8GB DDR3 RAM, ATI HD 5770 1GB, Win 7 Home Premium 64bit. >> FSX, REX, GEX, UTX, Orbx FTX AU, NZ, US, FlyTampa, UK2000 Xtreme, PMDG, RealAir, MilViz, (some) Carenado, Flight 1, Simcheck "%20alt=
March 14, 201214 yr Yes, i don´t use 2d panels (Only use when the VC correspondent don´t work) and the issues are related only to the VC systems and the exterior model. I have already reported what i found to JF staff and they replied that the developer would have a look. I still have hope that this plane will get fixed and be a top class representation of the 737. March 14, 201214 yr Flavio,Thanks for confirming elevator works in your 2D cockpit .. I never knew prior it was a "VC only" problem.I have only used the VC a little bit in prior years because I wear trifocals and VC gives me a headache. Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW
March 14, 201214 yr Something that became apparent to me only last night... I'm pretty disappointed this product was released being this buggy. It's absolutely unusable with CTDs and other issues. Besides, the VC is quite ugly.If I had wanted to stick around with a 2D panel, I could have easily stuck to my Tin Mouse II freeware. The Tin Mouse II is a prettier external and 2D rendition, plus offers a Sperry 177 A/P and a proper PDCS.Is the 737-200 a cursed model for payware add-on modeling? ___________________________________________________________________________________ Zachary Waddell -- Caravan Driver -- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/zwaddell Avsim ToS Avsim Screenshot Rules
March 15, 201214 yr Justflight has released a demo: 737 Professional demo aircraft The demo aircraft (74MB) comes in the Western Airlines livery and is a complete and fully featured aircraft - the only restriction with the demo is that it won't fly above 1,300 feet. The complete 116-page 737 Professional manual is included along with the demo in both English and German.GreetingsTim Greetings Tim My files on Flightsim.to i5 12600K | 32Gb | RTX 4080
March 15, 201214 yr JustFlight/Black Box 737-200 has an exceptional autopilot and almost fully working Performance Data Computer System (PDCS) and an outstanding manual, but the virtual cockpit is just a little better than the PIC 737 Evo, which is nice, but far from the quality of PMDG or Captain Sim.Hopefully as Black Box continues to develope payware aircraft, they will see the importance of realistic textures within the virtual cockpit and how much that will supercharge sales of a sim. June 21, 201213 yr No service Pack yet for JF 737 Professional but JF just released a hot fix (their web site) for pilots getting fatal errors. Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW
June 21, 201213 yr Not had any issues with it myself, but cheers for the heads up, and why I'm bumping this with a reply since I know some Avsimmers were affected by the issue. Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
