PMDG 777 shots in 2 weeks?

Featured Replies

I won't be able to make it, since I'm on standby satruday... Too bad, the upside is I just might be spending my day in one of our NG's.

It would be interesting to see if PMDG can simulate the landing gear cameras. It's an essential feature especially on the -300s.

I think all this would do is just cause more FPS drop. Have you tried running another window inside FSX? It decreases frames.

I think PMDG may be able to use dummy pre-rendered videos to simulate the camera. IIRC there are more cameras accessible from the EFB, such as the cockpit door security camera.

Wasn't another AddOn publisher able to build in a working targeting pod in a FSX fighter jet? The gear cam theoretically would be the same, wouldn't it?

Whatever happens in Munich, stays in Munich.. :( hope not...+1 for the nose gear cam. The GTX680 is out so we should be alright on the FPS side. :(

Won't matter, FSX is not GPU intensive so you won't even know the difference between a GTX570 and twin GTx680's, trust me.

Indeed, the VRS solution. If PMDG licensed the know-how, I believe they could offer some interesting stuff, tail and nosegear cameras for the 777, but also enhanced vision system for the BBJ... Would be sweet!

Prepare 3D theoretically features such things accordingly to their website.

50% of my comment was a joke. And let's face it, more CPU power will be available in year or two.Regarding the 777 gear cam - on the Emirates 777 there are actually 3 cams in split screen - one for every landing gear. It's a neat feature and the pilots use it every time.
