Give Flight the same time that FSX has been out and throw a PMDG quality aircraft in it and you will see some good traffic as well .

LOLOLOL! I feel like a maniac compulsive. Click on Hardware Forum, scan, read every post, then FSX, then Hardware, then FS9, then Hardware, then Flight, then Hardware, then X-Plane, then hardware, then ORBX, then hardware, then messages, then hardware, right now Flight, next Hardware. I'm trapped in this endless loop! :help:What this has to do with forum counts, I don't know...
WOW! When do you find time to "fly"?joking, of course!

HelloGiven that the average number of people visiting the Flight! forum has dropped of by around a third in the last week, the chances of it still being open in the two years or so that it will take to develop a PMDG quality aircraft After the SDK is released is slim. From this point I will give it another year at the most, Alaska needed to be ready to go a month after launch to keep the drip feed marketing system working. And with the non flight simming gamer that MS were hoping to attract, lack of TrackIR was just a turn off along with the 16 player online limit. Some very bad choices made by MS coupled with a very poor marketing campaign has not helped, even those of us who seem to live on the flight sim forums hardly know anything about the overall direction the game is going in, not even having access to the Beta forum is any help. The average gamer out there is not busy scanning the forums for news about Flight!, they have already moved on.You know Mad Dog you rail against Flight and careful moderation to everyone who will lend you an ear. This post, is such that could not only result in it's deletion but could get you banned for a spell. I am leaving it here for now in hopes that a few of your friends might privately pm you to appeal to your better senses, that I know you have somewhere in there. If you post anything even remotely like this in this forum again you will be history. I promise. Stay out of here until you can act moderate yourself. This is a formal warning. SF

After AVSM Front page check, I go directly to Hanger Chat, then to FSX Forum, then to FLIGHT forum. Then to the Hardware section to check for new driver announcements and such. Then I have to admit that I jump over the the "other" forum to see what's said about FSX and FLIGHT. Then I check for any "hot" uploads of aircraft or scenery in the various forum libraries. Finally, it's time to FLY!Stan

I don't know about the average number of people visiting the forum, as I really don't pay much attention to the number of viewers of each forum at a given time.Maybe it is just a perception by me, but in speaking of the activity in a specific forum - I think of that as being the number of posts and replies during the course of the day, it seems to me that has been increasing in this forum daily since the release of Flight, with more newer folks becoming active in this forum each day.Again may just be my perception...

HelloSince release the Flight! forum has had at least double the number of viewers compared to the FSX forum, but it has been dropping steadily over the last week.MS really needed to have more DLC ready to go, that and a clear roadmap on the direction DLC would take. Some interaction and feedback about the glaring omission of TrackIR support and the lack of toe brakes would help, for a game that is easily updated online there has not been much progress made, The cloud issues surely cannot be that hard to fix?

Fwiw,They have already announced the Alaska DLC for spring, which is not too far off, and posted some pretty nice screenshots of that DLC.There has been interaction and feedback regarding Track IR and toe brakes, albeit indirectly from the beta folks providing from the info they get from the beta forums.I think some of the frustration is an end result of MS deciding to release Flight early, and the Flight team having to make choices on what they could do for the final release. I understand much is on the " to do list", and they were limited on how much on that list they could knock out for early release. From what I have heard from some of the beta folks, most of that was spent taking care of some final bugsI would agree in one area, it would be nice if MS could start providing more info regarding items on the to do list and some idea of the general direction they will be taking going forward. But again, undoubtedly the lack of is probably also a result of the higher ups making the call for the early release.I do know this - they have one heck of a core product to build upon - and there are hints of things, both in the cfg and xml files, and items mentioned in messages shown whilst playing the sim. I am excited about the possiblities and time will tell what they end up being. But then, I am a very patient personality.

We all look at things in a diferent way .im just going to WAIT AND SEE .i want to stay here for a LONG time so ill stay away from writing a letter .its a good thing that i never got myself into that way of thinking " MS has to do things the way i want " once again im just going to WAIT AND SEE . and stay positive and patient ....

You keep complaining about TIR (glaring omission? Can we say Hyperbole?) but when you consider Microsoft have a competing product, I don't think you're going to get it. I wouldn't be surprised if instead we saw a desktop version of Kinect.

Sorry, but I would like to ask a clarification about this moderator warning to mad dog.I don't know him, apart from reading sometimes him here in the forum, but I sincerely don't understand the sense of the menace to ban him based on this message. I don't see any insult or offense to anyone, I simply read his critic to some MS moves, based on arguments largely discussed in this period here and on the other flight sim and videogame sites. Am I the only one to find strange a so hard answer by the moderator?A.

Stephen is enforcing our rules and policies as we have asked him to do.While I am at it, let's see some real stats over the last 30 days.
Weren't the Flight forums LOCKED for half of that period...?

It was opened on the 28th of February, so you are correct in assuming that it is not a full count comparison. I will give another of the same period.<

Thanks, Tom!

Hi Tom.Obviously the forum is yours, and I am simply one of the many users, but sincerely I use to frequent many forums, only few of them about gaming, and this is probably the first time I notice a similar tendency by the moderators to attack some users that simply express their thoughts, without offending or writing something not educated. I am not directly connected with mad dog, actually I don't know him, but I am surprised by this sort of censorship. As I said previously I don't know if I am the only user that find strange this behaviour, but I suspect that a more relaxed climate would be beneficial for all, also for AVSIM reputation as a place for free and civil discussions.A.
