March 27, 201214 yr Luckily for me all the liveries I need are CFM except for Wizz Air but a good German forum friend repainted its engines for me into CFM onesBecause the two variants are identical visually (except engines of course) my workaround is to fly the IAE visual model/paints/sounds but with CFM systems/fde - only a few minor edits required. Works well enough but I'd never recommend that to anyone - hope you're able to make headway with the real deal Rob. Regards, Mark
March 27, 201214 yr - hope you're able to make headway with the real deal Rob.So do I.I have just bought this aircraft based on feedback in this thread, but the livery I was hoping to use is Jetstar, which is IAE sadly.Warren Warren
March 27, 201214 yr Commercial Member Warren, post over on the Airsimmer repaint forum, I'm sure someone would be happy to repaint the CFM engines for you until I look at the IAE. The model is the same so the jetstar livery will work on the CFM versionRegards Rob Prest
March 27, 201214 yr Well, If anyone interested in the Airsimmer's visuals and sounds, which are amazing by the way, here is a video I made with bird. Naif Almazroa My Youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/Youmou0205
March 27, 201214 yr Commercial Member Flex, did you get my PM?Hey, yeah I replied today. Nam - nice video, I was wondering, do you get RWY displayed on your FMA when you set take off thrust? Also you can find an update on the forum that will get your FCU digits to glow orange like the real aircraft.Regards Rob Prest

March 27, 201214 yr Guys,Just confirming because all the example photos also show orange-ish dome and flood lighting - which in turn tells me the photos have the usual white balance issue that makes white look orange. So what's the REAL fcu digit color? White or orange? Regards, Mark
March 31, 201214 yr Well I bought the Basic, and I've also now had it refunded. It is too crippled (and there were a few bugs) for me to fully enjoy it.Honestly though, the plane looks fantastic, the 2D panel and VC are also absolutely beautiful. The sounds are out of this world (but why do I need to hear the APU in the cockpit?). All the switches work, all the systems work, it's brilliant. However, I really wanted full functionality; on the basic I couldn't do vertical profiles for my flights and it took a big chunk away for me. There was also a couple of bugs, namely very erratic engine control from the A/THR in certain conditions, and once I slewed the plane from parking to runway (no brakes on), and the brake temps jumped to 1500ºC and I couldn't use them! :oI will buy the Advanced (if it ever comes to fruition). This basic aircraft is honestly very beautiful, and shows some amazing signs for the future, but for me personally, it isn't quite ready yet. Karl Brooker
March 31, 201214 yr the brake temps jumped to 1500ºC and I couldn't use them! That's a perfect opportunity to enjoy AirSimmer's great sounds! Just turn on the brake fan, listen to its hum, select the WHEEL page on ECAM and wait till the brakes cool down.I guess this is what they would do in reality (if they need it since they don't slew to the active, do they, lol?)BTW I've just finished my AirSimmer flight no.132 and enjoyed it immensely even though it was a bit turbulent.Landing manually at Schwechat's rwy 34 (as BER8202 from Tegel) with wipers on (spring rain) and 17 kt wind.I think the AES ground crew really need optional raincoats!Oh yes, I forgot to add I also enjoyed my new toy - FSWidget's Electronic Flight Bag.I bought it two days ago as it is currently (until today or tomorrow I guess) 40% reduced.GE moving map, WX reports, charts browser, navlog, checklists, etc. A great fun for 14$.

Though I'd probably describe it as more of a roar than a hum :( very loud indeed. Karl Brooker
March 31, 201214 yr Though I'd probably describe it as more of a roar than a humThe brake fans really scream in real life. They're almost louder than the APU exhaust when you're in the rear cargo bin.
May 1, 201214 yr Hi all just been browsing a few threads regarding the airsimmer and have a couple of questions firstly is it Vatsim compatible? and also has Flight 1 deleted it? I looked today and it does not seem to be on their stock list?? Many thanks.
May 1, 201214 yr You will not see the product in flight1 site, you need to access Airsimmer site. However, the flight1 installer will be used to make a purchase, consequently, the flight1's policy will allow you to refund in case it doesn't meet your expectation.
