Of course, the True Hard-Core Maxtreme Simmers ™ only ever fly between Schipol & Frankfurt in cargo B737s, at night, in cloud, so I guess all you ever need is the cockpit and an autopilot on/off switch.

While I absolutely don't consider myself an hardcore gamer, it would be quite easy to reverse the value of that sentence: "At least the hard-core can fly anywhere in the world where they prefer, and not only circle endlessly over Honolulu, they can use jets and are not obliged to sit directly over the wings of old birds" A.

If you cant handle the slow release of sparse content and cant decide if you should invest in MS Flight ...save yourself the frustration and come back in one year ... then you'll know :)

It was a friendly advice to hardcore-simmers who's been waiting for a good new simulator for years. MS Flight tries to get income from new casual gamers, so even if the 10% hardcore simmers including this forum choose to wait, it's the 90% or so casual gamers that are expected to make the most income. If MS Flight doesn't attract enough casual gamers, then it's their marketing that will be to blame... because they haven't exactly taken the regular simmers wishes seriously.-

Well to be honest, it was a worse reaction on Facebook, and I should think that's less of a hard core simmer audience, so if anything, this is quite mild by comparison. Either way, if MS wanted to gauge the market, now they really know the score, and I suspect some of their marketing people might not have been having an easy time of it over the past day or so. They wanted all the add-on market, and it just goes to show that sometimes one has to be careful what one wishes for.Al

The problem is that people are taking all these isolated sight-pictures and coming up with something similar to the blind men and the elephant. (and at least the blind men were being as objective as they could be)Me too, of course. My spidey senses are tingling, and I think something unexpected is about to happen. That may be Bill, and you certainly would know a heck of a lot better than I, and if it is that will be sad for all the Track IR users. However I will say as I have said many times before - this is the first flight sim to come out in a long time, that did not include support for that peripheral. Flight supports other peripherals as regards to controllers. Even recognized my Cougar by name, along with many others as well I am sure.

Neither FS9 nor FSX has ever "supported" TrackIR. Well if that is what I am doing, you can rest assured I intend to continue to do so... :smile:Imho, there is no excuse whatsoever for a flight sim released in 2012 to not have Track IR support. And it certainly has been a long time since one was.All of course, my opinion only.

Hmmm...I think Bill should retreat on this one. The target audience are indeed very likely to have TrackIR. It's used for almost all FP games out there. And that IS the target audience.

Or a vocal few are just making it seem like a bigger deal than it really is.

Retreat? Not bloody likely. Unless someone from Natural Point can state unequivocally that they've sold over 1.5 million units, they aren't even a fraction of the total "target market"

I got kinda excited for this until I realized it is just like the Mustang. Any word on if this is worth the 7$? I kinda wish it had the cockpit though :(
