I am pulling my hair out of my head. The external model is BEAUTIFUL!!. Oh my god. it only needs the cockpit.

Free mind, young attitude.

I agree with you. It does look nice !Fred.

Not a big fan of the external model myself. So many errors I would of never allow. The wing profile is all wrong, and the coweling flaps need its own smoothing group. Dont even get me started on the props. The texture is really nice though. Its OK for what your paying for (6.99 us?), but I wont be buying it without a cockpit.

Nor I,what would be nice would be a AT6 Texan (with a cockpit) of course. Now that would be fun. Really, no one flew a P-51 with out advanced instruction in the Texan.

I think an AT-6 would be a perfect fit! Good choice! We have the Stearman, the next after that should be a Texan! (but with cockpit)

Back in the 1990's I used to fly Warbirds a lot offline and I always liked the zero best for general flying (under bridges, etc). I flew the Zero around tonight during a multiplayer flight session with Kolayanic. In FLIGHT, my experience was similar to Warbirds and I enjoyed the plane's great combination of power and agility. Inverted 360's and hard turns are real easy to do and it was fun for aerobatic flying.I know there is no virtual cockpit but I kind of like the outside views when doing aerobatics. It makes for a nicer view. For more serious flying though, the VC is really needed.

I bought the P-51 just to see what it was like. But no more... will only be purchasing planes with a VC.-ed

Ha! Me too! I always flew the Mustang and F4U more or less exclusively, but for just farting around, flying through hangars and the like, I'd always pick the Zero. Haven't downloaded the Flight Zero yet, but I suspect it'll end up like the Mustang - an airplane I use only for a few very specific aerocaches, nothing more.

I will download the preview just to see now flying triangle in MP sessions.

No cockpit, then MS will not be getting any of my money.EVER. Don't know why those people can't understand that we don't like planes without a cockpit.

I can't understand how people can not realize people who do, play the game.

Here is a screenshot I took of it yesterday. It really is a good looking plane! (click to enlarge)Hhx0p.jpg

Oh, "those people" understand alright, they just don't care! As long as there's 1,000+ people who do buy versus your one no-sale, they will continue to not care...

A commercial member was pointing out several flaws, but for me, it was kinda like somebody from Lucasfilm pointing out a technical issue in a special effect. Probably 99% of people (like me!!!) have no clue, and will never see it unless grabbed by the scruff of the neck and forcefully brought nose to nose with it! ^_^
