It is the second day I am getting this error when entering Avism:

Am I the only one and does anyone know how to get rid of it?

I've been getting the same error since yesterday as well.

Guys,

Try refreshing the website with Ctrl+F5.

It did the trick for me, at least for now.

The new main page's url is:

http://forum.avsim.net/page/index.html

you wont get the 'Apache error 404' if you go directly here.

For now, going to the old address: www.avsim.com ; will give you the Apache error at the top and then the site underneath that (unless you clear your cache - then it will work ok). Other versions of the old url will give you just the error and nothing else.

I make all my shortcuts, they work a couple of times, and then I get that error.

All the links to AVSIM forum posts are dead... It looks like an option in the forum software has been changed.

Example:

http://forum.avsim.n...300-xtreme-fun/ -> "404 Not Found"

New link: http://forum.avsim.n...howtopic=368108

Is this definitive ?

Removing the title in links will not improve the ranking of AVSIM forum posts in search engines, and for now, every link inside the forum and from other forums to AVSIM are broken.

OK, good luck fixing this.

On Google.com, more than 1.3 million broken links:

http://www.google.com/search?&q=site%3Aforum.avsim.net+%22forum.avsim.net%2Ftopic%22

On Pilote-Virtuel.com, 2330 broken links to AVSIM forum topics:

http://www.google.com/search?q=site%3Apilote-virtuel.com+%22forum.avsim.net%22

On FlightSim.com, 1620 broken links to AVSIM forum topics:

http://www.google.com/search?q=site%3Aflightsim.com%2Fvbfs%2F+%22forum.avsim.net%22

On Sim-Outhouse.com, 172 broken links to AVSIM forum topics:

http://www.google.com/search?q=site%3Asim-outhouse.com+%22forum.avsim.net%22

...

the correct URL for the main page as of yesterday is

http://forum.avsim.net/index.php?app=ccs&module=pages&section=pages&id=2

yes, we're aware of what is broken from other sites and from google. Google will reindex over time. Other sites I am not worried about so much, as some of them leech anyway. :)
