PMDG's next project?

Featured Replies

Well, I see its popular to open topics like this these days, so:

Maybe PMDG can make Sukhoi superjet 100. Its a great aircraft, brand new; cockpit and systems are probably similar with airbus', but its not airbus (which is under developement by "a well known developer"), so its "okay" to build it for FS9, FSX, X-plane and maybe P3D (please do not mention thing called "eula", big guys at avsim board do not like that word at all, trust me) and not brake well known "developer rules (like women ones, "do not sleep with guy I slept with first", and similar)". Maybe they can make contract with sukhoi that includes one Su-27 ride for every PMDG team member, while art director performing S-100's cockpit photo session. Next good side of S-100 project is that they do not have to waste time to simulate failures, its russian aircraft it cannot be broken, instead they can invest that time to build 2d panels (cutoff levers too!). Also there are just few operators of this aircraft so livery production would be instantaneous. Market for this kind of aircraft is huge, and competition is very small. There is some guy who try to make S-100 but who care about him, he is just Sunday afternoon VFR flier, what the **** he knows about developing of such a complex airliner. Of course, we expects traditional russian FO readouts during take off and especially, during landing when they yelling at each other like they are mad.

Once I read this I really didn't care about the rest of your post.

Good luck in the forums.

This has been mentioned before, and I'll say the same thing here as I said in the last post.

I doubt an Eastern (of the hemisphere sort) aircraft manufacturer that's trying to make a name for itself internationally is going to be very open to handing out their data, first. Second, it's new, so there isn't much data on it externally. Third, it's not at all popular in the world, so why would you think it would be popular as a Flight Sim product?

Further, why are there so many "OH!!! PMDG Can Do THIS!" Threads. Do people really think they're lacking in terms of projects right now?

Lol, agreed. There are so many popular aircraft which we' aLL love to see, why would they do the Sukhoi Superjet???

Understandable reaction, sir.. :)

@LJ(?): How can you judge that person like that? And if you think this way, you could've formed it in a more apropriate way. I may remind you that this is a public forum. While you expect or want PMDG to create a proper simulation of your desired aircraft, the person you've mentioned in your post IS actually trying to create one. You should be thankful instead, because as far as I'm concerned, I don't see such a jet coming from PMDG's end in the near future.

Three greens!

omg, this is definitely out of control.

This is not my words at all, I just collected the best quotes from PMDG forums and made one sarcastic topic with silly aircraft request. I guess someone banned the humor at this forum.

Why include it if you don't think it then? You call them the best quotes, too.

Yeah, there's a lot of these, but at least this one is new. No one is going to jump in and start a Sukhoi v. Boeing flame war like the Airbus stuff. I know next to nothing about this aircraft, so I'm intrigued. But, yes, for the many reasons you suggest this isn't going to happen. Personally, I would just be happy if the Dash ever happens, but I'm easy to please.
