I cant wait for these releases. I cant fly the pmdg 747 now cause the cockpit is so dated compared to the ngx. I am taking it slow on the ngx now also, because im afraid i am going to get bored of it. Bored perhaps isnt the right word, but because I have no other short haul plane to use, I am limited to the ngx. Cant wait to get back in the air doing some long hauls.... 1st one being nzaa to klax in the 777 in air new zealand all blacks livery. :) drooool....

Cameron Lett :)

even better than the ngx?

Not like their quality and function is going to backwards on a full blown product.

That's a fantastic news to hear, Ryan. On my way to MDSD from KSFO with the Queen, she is still very impressive after all these years.

Just flew a MD-11F from MDSD to PANC and scared everyone at the end of the runway. No FLEX and 25 degrees of flaps (as TOPCAT suggested), reckon I had only 100-200ft of runway remaining before I came unstuck!

Cheers, Chris D

I do not have a signature. Why are you reading this?

How can it be better than the NGX? Better FPS maybe?

Proud owner of the PMDG 747X, MD-11 and JS41 (Bring on the B737NGX)

Rampage Extreme III, i7 950 (3.5GHz), nVidia GTX 480, Corsair Dominator 6GB 2000Mhz, TrackIR 5

For freighter version I would like to see a cargo loader little like LCF version :)

1. New ultra realistic soundpacks for all three engine manufacturers

2. New VC, with especially redone displays, like shapes, colors, fonts etc... And of course higher resolutions, and an overall more realistic look of the VC.

3. PMDG Options in the FMC

4. More realistic FMC features, and more realistic A/P features (althoug they are already very realistic  )

5. Redone outside model including redone landing gear touchdown animation, cuz in the old 747X is takes sooo long for the main landing gear's wheels to go flat upon landing!

Ryan........

Although I assume that the 777 will not have any semblance of a 2d panel, what about the 747? Since the original did have one will this new design and upgrade have anything in 2D?

Jack Fentress

1. Terrain radar

2. Options like MCP (with mechanic digits and digital digits), CRT or LCD, Analog or Digital Standby Instruments

3. Real Boeing PFD/ND/EICAS Font like in the NGX (no doubts about that feature)

4. Windscreen reflections

5. New exterior model and animations

6. Correct Glareshield shape (the old 747's glareshield edge above the Master Caution switch was not correct)

But i guess these all are already planned by PMDG.

Harm Swinkels

I would like to see 2D panels that can be used in a home cockpit....

Guys - I've already said this a brand new product that isn't based on the current 747. There's no need to ask for things like new models, sounds, VC etc - that will all be there by default.
