April 19, 201214 yr Looks like he might have gone from 5th to 6th... RPMS's were pushing 12k them dropped to about 10,400 That extra 2k in 6th is probably top end... Just my assumetion ;) (get it, a** u me tion/assumption ha ha) Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk
April 19, 201214 yr Commercial Member what's crazy is how this speeder trusts on every other driver around him to be rational, conscientious, and error free. You see drivers with skill and inexperience test this all the time. Not a good bet to make. Not even on apparently empty roads (former farm-tractor driver :hi: :Pig: :Pig: :Pig: ) But on a closed track go for it :) I love cars love bikes.

April 20, 201214 yr Author Future organ donor. At 186 mph there wouldn't be any identifiable organs, just red mush.
April 20, 201214 yr All depends... my friend Brent went down at NJMP at 170mph last year, walked away without a scratch, switched to a backup bike and finished the day... I went down at 60 slid across the road on my shoulder, elbow then back and not a scratch. The right gear makes all the difference, that is what leathers are for :) my boots racesuit gloves and helmet were about $3,000... They even make airbag jackets now... Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk

April 20, 201214 yr This all over our local news here. He's known to police, he even posted that video on a local bikers forum with his own name. The motorcycle is registered to his mother, he only has a learners permit. Since she's the registered owner, she gets slapped with the following fines unless its is proved that her 25 year old douchbag son is the rider: - Driving without due care and attention $368. - Excessive speeding $483. - No insurance $598. Two years ago he was on a bike with stolen plates doing a wheelie down a main street in Kelowna when he plowed into a left turning car. He was in the hospital for a year, apparently not learning anything. (sorry for the douchbag comment, as a local (responsible) rider myself, this moron has single-handedly set our cause for increased motorcycle rights back several years, not to mention putting many lives at risk)
April 20, 201214 yr - Driving without due care and attention $368.- Excessive speeding $483. - No insurance $598. Is that all ? And for putting deliberately at risk the lives of the other drivers on that motorway ? If that had happened in France, he would have been sentenced to at least 1 year in jail, driving licence taken away, motorcycle confiscated and a much higher fine. That's the fine his MOTHER got as the registered owner, because they can't prove who was riding the bike. We also have a civil forfeiture law here, the bike can be impounded then auctioned off. If they can prove he was the one riding, then they can lay criminal charges.
April 20, 201214 yr Wow, the fact that he wrecked and learned nothing his mother apparently learned nothing from his wreck he still has access to a motorcycle him and his mother have a combined IQ lower than the PSI in his tires is as scary as what he did... Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk

April 20, 201214 yr We have a term for riders like that in the States, we call them squids... The riders who do idiotic things like that, the riders in t-shirts, shorts and sandals, the riders without helmets, all squids imho who give others a bad opinion of us... The other day I was coming to an alternate merge on the bike and I think the car expected me to blow around him and cut him off to be in front of him. The smile on his face when I gave him the wave and slowed for him to move in front of me felt great. I knew for that split second I changed that guys outlook on motorcyclists. Good feeling... April 22, 201214 yr Commercial Member Meh. He weren't all that. He was out of the throttle far too much! That's what I thought too, and I don't think he shifted a gear one time through the whole video... No knee scraping, no corners, just a lot of innocent folks trying to get home to their families. He's not fast, I'd have royally kicked his a$$ back in the day - but I wouldn't have even considered it on a road with that much traffic. Jim
July 12, 201213 yr Author It seems the wheels of justice grind slowly, but they do indeed grind away. According to the Canadian news network the 25 year old man is being charged with dangerous driving. They had already confiscated the bike. http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/story/2012/07/11/bc-motorcycle-speeding-charges.html Kind regards,
