Featured Replies

For those of you who had interest in the series Ice Pilots you may wish to know that Arnie Schreder , the former Chief Pilot at Buffalo airways died on Saturday morning from pneumonia after a fight with Lung Cancer. Always seemed like a cool guy, so just though y'all should know...

Wow. Just last night, I watched the episode, where he put the DC 3 down on a homemade sand runway. A real cool, laidback pilot. RIP.

Sad news indeed.

Arnie....if it ain't broke, don't fix it...

Very sad, quite a bit to tragedy in his family recenty with both himself and his daugher stricken with cancer. I believe his daughter is ok.

my favourite episode with Arnie was when the simulated the dam bombings in WWII. Very risky manouver that Arnie pulled of to perfection.

RIP.

Sad news indeed RIP Arnie. All due I am sure to the deadly infernal tobacco habit. When will we learn?

Boy I really seem to be the bearer of bad news of late, but just got word from work that Captain Denny Fitch, the pilot that help the UA232 DC-10 land in the Souix City disaster passed away there. I'm sure many of you will remember him from the episode of Seconds from disaster featuring this particular accident. He saved many lives so I thought it appropriate to post this here.... RIP

Strange, I have only his minute finished watching the first episode of Ice Pilots. What a fantastic series, and what great sadness to hear about Arnie.

I remember Nuala O'Faolain saying that it's a shame how we spend an entire lifetime building on our wisdom only to take it all with us in the end!!!!!!
