Buttkicker & NGX

Featured Replies

I joined the Buttkicker-Club yesterday! The install of the Gamer set was finished in 10 minutes. And what I experienced after the first pattern in the RA Legacy was completely convincing. It really adds a huge amount of immersion. Together with my G940 FFB stick (driven by the fantastic FS Force), this setup is like a dream come true. I couldn't stop flying. I tested most of my GA planes and, depending on their quality of sound, the results did vary. The RA Legacy is so immersive with the Buttkicker, one can feel the drag the speedbrakes add, the gear going down and finally locking, and the touchdown can be felt, just like in real life!

Final flight of the day was in the NGX. This bird is known for its outstanding sounds, but let me tell you one thing:

Those CFM's spooling down an TOD, adding speed brakes and flaps really gets you shaking! ;-)

I am really looking forward to the mighty GE90's in the PMDG T7!

I would buy one, but does it vibrate through the ground? Like, will my parents get annoyed downstairs with the banging or rumbling?

Thanks for sharing, can't wait until I get mine

OK, so I ordered a BK2 Gamer and truely looking forward trying it out after all great things I've read about it but one thing just struck me after watching a YouTube review of it...the BKA-130-C amplifier wants 120V but in Sweden we have 220V.

Guess this means I'll have to buy some kind of converter to be able to use it or does someone in here know if the amplifiers come in different country-specific versions?

I asked Simware about this and received an answer I will get a device suitable for 220V :D

Just coming back home from Paris and bringing a BK2 with me! This post inspired me to buy, now let's see how it will perform on my 737ngx cockpit...thanks for sharing guys.

Please share your experience with us once you have tested it.

I am so happy to hear positive feedback, I was laughed at in another forum when I mentioned how cool the BK was.

It's probably one of the best buys I've got for FSX and even just using it for other games is great too - absolutely great versatile bit of kit!

OK guys...finally the day has come when my BK arrived !!

Just picked it up from the post office and will let you know in short time what I think...I feel like a kid before Christmas and my girlfriend just smiles at me with the same look she always does when I get more and more weird stuff for my FS rig

I really wanted to treat myself to one of these, but I feel it will be wasted, as now we have moved house, my sim is right next door to the lounge and so most of my flying is now done with headphones.

Howard,

I think you'll find it just as satisfying, It's all about the sensations of flight which up until this product I've never really been able to replicate as much - yes don't get me wrong, I don't have a seatbelt on and G forces pushing on my body and therefore the sim can only really be seen as procedural.

Nevertheless, great product and you'll find it just as satisfying with the headset as well as speakers.

Trying to hook it up I've stumbled across one strange thing, the installation instruction says I should connect the + of the long quick connect cable to the red terminal on the amplifier and the - to the black one but looking at my long quick connect cable at the end of it that goes into the amplifier there's no way to tell which side of it is plus and which is minus since what is looking like a black plastic sock has been attached to it and this plastic sock seems to be there to hold what appears to be an adapter in place. I've watched some video reviews and in those the cable doesn't have the strange adapter/extension hold in place by the black, plastic sock.

I'm really tempted to simply rip this sock off to set free the original end of the cable where I believe those plus and minus signs are but if for some reason this black sock should be there then I would have damaged the cable so right now I'm not sure what to do?!

Here's what my cable looks like

You don't hear the buttkicker, you 'feel' it; its a great experience. Its an affordable option that raises the realism++

simply the best product I have bought for FS, I couldn't imagine not having it as part of my setup. Great for watching movies too, hooked it up to my sofa and watched all of my just planes videos, you can feel everything just like you are on the aircraft.
