Blackbox Airbus

Featured Replies

Karim,

You have to setup your throttle via the MCDU for it to work properly...which is kind of a nice feature. You are right though, it would be nice if the manual was in PDF and not DOC. Those who don't have word wont be able to read the manual.

With all these crashes, it's a good job they called it the 'blackbox' Airbus! I must admit I'm far from blown away by the screenies this far. The PSS A320 back in the day was brilliant, pity this one isn't off to the greatest start.

I guess I'll pass than.

The biggest turnoff for me these days are those prologue, lite, basic versions with a promise for advanced version (which usually never comes - especially if we're talking Airbus).

Very buggy atm, cant get displays to show in iae model, switches not functioning in vc, ctd's when switching views, they are working on it as we speak.

Just pulled a sickie from work to fly this bird :sorry:

While there are bugs preventing me from making a flight, I'm not ready to give up just yet on this product. I don't think the screen shots really do the Bus any justice. The VC looked pretty good to me as far as the modeling goes....airbuses are very bland in real life anyways. The night lighting and the gauge clarity is where the work needs to be done. Let's see what BBS comes up with as far as a patch is concerned. I have respect for a developer who admits there are issues right off the bat and works quickly to fix them.

+1 the bbs guys have worked through the night and are working on a patch right now.(theres only 2 of them)

Seems to be an issue with win7 64 bit which im sure they will iron out asap.

Got allot of faith in these guys and their product and from what ive seen so far i wont be writing them off.

What a disappointment.....; talking of the outside model, I love the square windows and the bad glass effect that allow you see through the other side of the aircraft... I much prefer the glass effect on the PMDG NGX......so much more real.....

I think I will hold off for a month or two until patches start rolling out, fixing major issues.

Is it true that you can't change heading and speed in the VC as someone suggested? that would be a fatal flaw imho.

I have no problem changing the speed/heading in the vc.

So you can change speed and heading but your switches are not working ?

You just have to make sure you don't put your mouse on the knob but to the right or left of it to increase/decrease...

.....; but I hate their outside windows and glass effect

Light switches, not heading/speed dials.

Junk-ware. Wait for FSL's A320.
