Im only guessing mate tbh, they said 18 hrs ago that the preorder discount will end 24hrs from when they posted that statement so it seems everyone assumes that the release will be around then.

No official word on this but there are slight hints as you have probably read yourself.

Keep us posted, Chris. I'd expect some email for the prepay folks, so you guys will know for sure when it's finally released.

The BlackBox 'bus looks scary

So close to release, hope i'm wrong.

CASE: Fractal Terra Silver CPU: AMD R5 7800X3D 5.0Ghz RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 GPU: nVidia RTX 4070 Ti SUPER · SSDs: Samsung 990 PRO 2TB M.2 PCIe · PNY XLR8 CS3040 2TB M.2 PCIe · VIDEO: LG-32GK650F QHD 32" 144Hz FREE/G-SYNC · MISC: Thrustmaster TCA Airbus Joystick + Throttle Quadrant · MSFS2024 · Windows 11

Right now they're a "little" busy. Hope that means they're prepping for release. I also have this preordered with Chris (feels weird saying Chris because it feels like I'm talking about myself LOL). I'll also try to keep you guys posted.

Is this Black Box version just the PSS 2002 offering re-packaged? It looks like it is...........

LOL.This is mean.

Problem with Aerosofts version is it does not play nicely at all with PFC hardware making it useless. They are releasing an SDK but PFC will never do the work needed to make it work. I hope for FSL or this BB version.

Hey Eric, just out of curiosity I am wondering the following???

Form looking at PFC website they only supply Yokes, so this makes me wonder?? Why would you want to use PFC with an Airbus? As Airbus do not use Yoke but Joystick?

Doesnt really make any difference to me but just wondering.

They make throttles as well.

Ah right i see, cheers

I really wasnt trying to be mean! It was a serious question! Is this an 'upgraded' product or simply a re-release?

Well, it was available in the sense that you could pre-order it, just not so you could actually use it. :LMAO:

With regard to the 'is it an update?' query: Reading the features list, it appears to be an updated version of their old one (which is no bad thing in itself, since that one was not bad), but with a completely new exterior model. If it wasn't for the FSL one on the way I might have been tempted given there is supposedly a more advanced version to follow (hmm, that sounds familiar), but the timetable for the full extreme version is somewhat nebulous, as indeed is the feature list.

Thus what stops me, without wishing to sound mean, is that we've heard this song before, many times since 2006, most recently from AirSimmer and Aerosoft, and the EVO upgrade of the Wilco 'Bus was another example of that intention falling on its arse. So, halfway stabs at an A320 accompanied by vague promises that stunning systems fidelity is on the way is not new by any stretch of the imagination.

The difference with FSL is that they have nailed their colours to the mast in saying what they are going for right from the off, and with the intent of doing so before the year is out, and that's the kind of confidence I want to hear from any other developer who claims that a super-duper realistic one is to follow at some point. If a development team knows they can do it, they won't be afraid to list the features they are going for, until then, the credit card stays in the fridge.

It's good to see that they are tackling the old PSS install issues, but they should be mindful of not hanging about with this new one too, given that people have stumped up the cash based on a promise of May 2012, which is now two weeks overdue. Serving customers who have already paid you is more important than trying to gather new ones if you want to establish good reputation, and missing a promised release date for a pre-pay was not exactly helpful in that regard when you already have a backlog of people who've been knackered when it comes to installing their payware for literally years - they should have been the priority long before this new A320 was announced.

Anyway, given the length and anticipation of the FSX realistic Airbus saga, I'll be watching this one with interest, but I'll be honest, my chips are still riding on FSL.
