(...) I'll be watching this one with interest, but I'll be honest, my chips are still riding on FSL.

Saturday Status -

To keep you all informed, we are working Flat out to see the release of Airbus X'treme "Prologue" in a Very Short time..

However, although it is "Prologue" and certainly NOT a 100% Complete Airbus, we Do want to make sure that everything we have included is working properly. There are a few glitches remaining but all relatively minor.

We simply want to make sure that the Prologue version really shows what to expect in X'treme later this year.

Please be patient guys, it WILL HAPPEN SOON , and when it does we are sure you'll be impressed.

---end of quote--

Yes give it up guys..... Will happen soon definitely means that we won't have it this weeks end.... the wait will never end. What a disappointment ..

too much, too soon....

I mean, it's not that this small business lacks of plenty possible definitions of the word 'soon'. :acute: Keep up the hope, guys, still awaiting your reviews.

I'm hoping for a release in the coming days. I have Sunday through Thursday off so it will give me planet of time to play with it. Unfinished or not, it can't be any worse than the wilco bus......and I actually liked flying that one! < Guilty

Hmm might actually buy this if its recent enough, my Wilco Airbus fails to follow route half of the time.

Another quote from the current Blackbox site

We are currently working some very very long hours repackaging all the old Pss products to remove the flawed "Live Install" system, this is being done on a per product basis and announcements will be made as each product is once again ready for distribution.

Has anything been distributed?

Gerry Howard

Looking forward to this A320. This one might be the first "good" Airbus in FSX.

Yep same here, the looks and systems seem promising for the prologue version.

For anyone interested who haven't seen the promo vid

Now.....if only i could get my hands on that sidestick!

To be entirely fair to BB, I think that most of us who have been into playing with various computer games and sims for long enough, know that projected dates for release can usually be taken with a very large dose of salt.

There are some companies out there who've learned from this (PMDG for example) and refuse to be drawn on giving release dates. The last time PMDG did something like that, i.e. the infamous 'don't go on any long holidays' thing in relation to their NG release, you will recall that they came in for a right bashing on their forum.

The one thing which can be said for missing the deadline, is that it at least demonstrates that they want to release something they are sure is not bugged any more than they could possibly avoid.

It isn't so simple if money has been taken by accepting pre-orders based on the developer's published deadline.

Well, I guess one could always get their money back (since no product has been exchanged)....I'm sure PayPal wouldn't have any issues with that. BB is not the only company to use the Pre-Order on software. I pre ordered the latest WoW expansion Mists of Pandaria in March....and it probably won't come out till the end of the year...maybe. No one forced anyone to pre-order, delays happen in software.

Yup, I pre-ordered the Guild Wars 2 game and that's been trundling on for two months past the time where they announced 'the wait is over', with only a few open beta weekends to show for it. It happens with software, and I think most people are generally aware that it can.
