June 8, 201214 yr I know the NGX has the "used look" with dirt here and there etc, is the 777 going to have the used look or more of a new look? Mitch Brown Private Pilot | Aerospace Engineering Major
June 8, 201214 yr Yeah it depends on what Aircraft they Photo. By the looks of it, it's used. Which I prefer, not really realistic having a fresh new Flight Deck every time. Unless you work for Emirates :LMAO: If you've seen the photos then that's it. As for the Aircraft itself I asked, I believe Ryan said they will or try to give us the option of making the wing etc dirty or clean. - Luke Pabari
June 8, 201214 yr I like the semi-used look. Been in service for a while, but looks like it just came from the wash rack. The paint is little faded, but not faded a lot. A little paint chipping off here and there...... well you get what I'm getting at. It doesn't matter to me, just as long as everything works and it flies right. :Peace: Kelvie Smith A&P Mechanic FSX Pilot
June 9, 201214 yr Remember from the Munich conference that Robert discussed the finger prints? :P :LMAO: That was hilarious! As for the Aircraft itself I asked, I believe Ryan said they will or try to give us the option of making the wing etc dirty or clean. I hope so! Maybe we would get to see this on the 777 and maybe the 737 as an option: (Yes, that is not an 737 or 777) Edited June 9, 201214 yr by linux731 i7-6700K @ 4.5 GHz, 16 GB DDR4-2400 MHz, GTX 1070 8GB
June 9, 201214 yr I took like the semi faded look, doesn't look factory or D check fresh but also it doesn't look neglected either. Alex Jevdic --- KORD A<380-----Love at first flight
June 9, 201214 yr Did PMDG every divulge which aircraft they used for the 737 survey? The aircraft number? AJ Pongress
June 9, 201214 yr I think "worn" and "used" is a condition that just doesn't cut it for a multi million dollar piece of equipment (in the real world). My personal feelings are that I hope there is a option for clean planes as it bothers me (only speaking for myself) to see a dirty plane of any type. In the end it doesn't really matter as I hope to be flying it more than checking the exterior, but if PMDG can accomodate both desires that would be great. If not, it's not like I'm not going to buy it no matter what the virtual cleanliness is. "I am the Master of the Fist!" -Akuma
June 9, 201214 yr I'm sure, almost every 200 I see are this dirty. Don't see as many 300ER's this dirty, might have to do with a lot being new that come into LHR. Although one BA 77W I saw few weeks about, my god, shockingly dirty! I'll never forget how amazing my ANZ flight was to London though, the Aircraft had come from Everett about 2 days prior. If I could have a wing & aircraft that clean all the time I would. - Luke Pabari
June 9, 201214 yr I hope so! Maybe we would get to see this on the 777 and maybe the 737 as an option: (Yes, that is not an 737 or 777) I sincerely hope not!!! Or else, make both options: option a: fresh from the assembly; option b: weathered. That way everyone will be happy. Chidiebere Anyahara
June 9, 201214 yr Did PMDG every divulge which aircraft they used for the 737 survey? The aircraft number? No but they did give us a clue. I believe it was RSR who said it was Photographed in a very cold climate,....and that it was done with a plane that was out of service for maintanence. My guess is Alaska Airlines. I believ they have a maintanence hangar in PANC IF my old memory serves accurate, it was N307AS that was first shown in screenshots. Peter Osborn

June 9, 201214 yr i would quite like to see the Aircraft they did the photo survey on... I imagine it was someone like UA. Since Rob use to work for them, not sure if he flew the 777's. - Luke Pabari

June 9, 201214 yr ahh yes ofcourse! Actually, not sure if they done it on a LR/300ER or not. The 3 main differences you'll get in between a United 772ER and say Emirates 77L is the TCAS, on some of the first 777's have Squawks like the 767 which is a number pad. 77L/300ER's don't generally have Seat Belt signs as newer Aircraft are fading them out. (Not every Airline though). And finally the Standby instrument that you see on the LR & 300ER which is in the current screen shots, is newer and there's only one. Unlike the 772ER's that have 3. - Luke Pabari
