Has Anyone Ever Tried Using a Kneeboard While Driving A Car?

Featured Replies

Thanks for posting Stephen. I see people constantly on the phone while driving and it makes me want to throttle them. Only last week I saw some idiot in a great thundering lorry, negotiate a tight turn at traffic lights while on the phone, he actually mounted the curb because he hadn't initiated the turn properly. A complete moron.

Anybody thinks that this is not a subject to get worked up about needs to think again. Watch this video from Australia. I can't get the baby's face out of my mind.

Brutal....We have one like that in New Zealand right now that shows the impact in slow motion and your inner organs being thrown around by the exessive g-forces. This stuff really makes you think

That is an exceptionally brutal and true to life depiction. I saw enough RTAs as a newspaper photographer to last me a lifetime, and I was only working in a rural environment.

Thanks for putting that film up, I hope that many more watch it. I also hope that I never have to experience something like this with my children.

My guess that the film is Wales. (Tredegar is in Gwent), certainly not Aus/NZ...

Yes, I think it is Wales. I seem to remember it getting quite a lot of coverage when it was made a couple of years ago.

Yes it is. Actually I read that the name "Heddu" means "police" in Welsh, or something like that. The images are powerful and the story line compelling. The "Mommy! Daddy! Wake up! part is compelling, to say the least.

I think it is a very dangerous attitude to think that one has become invulnerable to accidents because of a long streak without incident. History has a few examples proving this, one of them being Titanic's very experienced captain E.J Smith. After a long career without major incidents he was to have an easy and glorious retirement. Some say his spotless career, having never been in an emergency situation, hindered his decision-making, choosing to speed up despite numerous ice warnings. As a commercial pilot and a driver I always consider that I am immune to nothing. It can happen to Anyone!

No old bold pilots..

I always felt safer flying a Cessna then driving my Honda.....Not much to hit up there.
