Congrats!

I visited the cockpit of a Qantas NG last year after landing, you probably can do the same thing for all the airlines.

Good luck!

Thanks,

quit a nice plan, I've flown quite a lot the 777-300 or Air France in two years I made 8 777 flights 1 round trip to Tokyo, and three round trips to Beijing.

And while in China I've made each time a round trip between Beijing and Qindgdao with Air China or Shandong Ailines. Waht was funny is one of the 737 of Shandong made me think of the newest 787 , and I think it was probably recent as the lighing as this blue ligh led on the ceiling, that I had seen in 787 pictures.

Anyway have a great trip, I've really enjoyed the flights on this aircraft, I've no real comparison on this kind of route except with the 747-400 which I took once, but I felt it was much more stable , but well got lucky enough to take the preium class on the 777 trips I did, and being surclassed in business on 3 of my flights :P

Congratulations on being accepted to the flight college! I wish you the best of luck, I'm going to be attending Western Michigan University's aviation program starting in the fall, one of the top 3 here in the U.S.. I'm so excited I can't stand it.

@Luke, I'm the same not much of a roller coaster guy, but enjoyed all the manoeuvres you experience in flight. When I did my PPL in southwest Florida I enjoyed slow flying along the coast, some amazing views definitely better than in the UK lol

Definitely, I done some VFR there while I was home and all I can say is very.. flat! haha, the mountains look beautiful with the pacific ocean. ANZ2 flies near us at about 8,000ft descending into LAX from AUK on most days, trying to get up there when it comes in but still no luck.

Make sure you have a camera would love to see an air to air lol. Always a great sight seeing an airliner while flying in something much smaller, I used to see American MD-80's heading into RSW not quite the same as a 777 though

Hey bakaman, please keep my name in mind. Thus within 10 years, when you´ll become in a B787, B797 captain or whatever be the ultimate in airliner, after landed and parked I´ll ask for flight deck access and you´ll say "oh, come in" :LMAO: Go ahead and GOOD LUCK, man

Hi guys,

I am posting today because i'd like to tell you that i've been accepted to a good flight college in Canada, got my visa and I'm all set to go: to be honest i'm very very happy, because thats a project i've been working on for years now.

Anyway i'm about to leave Europe ( Probably early next week)and guess what ??? Its gonna be a 777-300 ER !!!! Ouiiiiii Monsieur !!! So far i've flown on an A300B4, A310, A300-600, A330, DC10, CRJ, and 737's. So i'm very excited !!! Also because this bird is in production at PMDG. And for my second leg i'll fly with Westjet !!!! YEAH on a 737 NG you've guessed it ! My plan is to record as much thing as possible: Suggestions are welcome of course..... I'll probably ask for a small visit in the cockpit (request won't probably be granted but who knows) and at the end i'll post the video here so that you'll all enjoy those moments ! (on both the 777 and the NG).

In the post-9/11 world, visits to the flight deck are usually reserved to airline staff only once the aircraft has left the gate. Not even family can get in there nowadays. I've found here in Australia, though, that if time permits the flight crew are usually more than happy to have a visit after landing while passengers disembark.

LoL ! That will be my pleasure !!!! But until then there is a lot of work to be done...... :P

You're 100% right. Actually i could not have access to the cockpit because the crew did keep the door closed and locked most of the time. Howeder the flight attendants were very nice ...

Stay tuned guys i have taken some VERY NICE pics and taken SUPERB videos !

My mate at Emirates was saying they rarely even let Cabin Crew in once Airborne. They let Trainee's in a lot as to give them an idea of their job as both assist each other massively. In this generation I wouldn't be happy letting anyone in my Flight Deck, ever. Apart from Family & Crew of course.

That is a procedure I actually agree with. Though I would limit that to relief flight crewmembers and the chief flight attendant. No offense to the junior crew out there. I just don't think we need everyone having access, especially with relief F/As..

Apart from Family & Crew of course

Family is pushing it, in my opinion. I'd be surprised if crew families have any access with the way security is today...

Families are not allowed in. I was saying if I could have people in and some of my family were on board I'd let them in if the Captain agreed. However I wouldn't feel so comfortable just any stranger in. Even Kids with Adults because sadly there are some sad people out there that use Kids to preform terrorist acts.

Lucky I TRIED TO USE A PROFANITY HERE - AREN'T I STUPID!! Shame I will never be a pilot because:

1. I can't pay it

2. I have bad eyes.
