INCREDIBLE BEAUTY joins Boeing lineup

A beautiful addition to the stable of the most-reliable single aisle aircraft on the planet - with the new quieter and more fuel-efficent/lower-NOx2 emmision engine technology and advanced winglet design - I wanted to put my order in right away in hopes PMDG will put this beauty into development as a new product or upgrade to the NGX- wow what an airplane!

Afaik, the cockpit remains unchanged with the MAX version.

I could be wrong, but I remember reading that somewhere.

If it's the case, only the visual model would be offered as an expansion.

Personally I spend 99% of my time on the flightdeck so having an updated visual wouldn't appeal to me that much.

I am salivating over this beauty! It's like a mini-787 Dreamliner! Those new engines are something - and what about the double winglets?

Like you the interior is where most pilots live... but when you're filming a video, it's cool to have the 'latest' exterior, yeah?

I'd pay something for this as an 'upgrade' - pending PMDG releasing the 787! ;)

I can dream, yeah?

I dont think thats quite right. While the overall cockpit layout might be the same, there are going to be new features as well (maybe only minor things but there will be). Anyway, the aircraft is not flying yet and PMDG has no data available, so there wont be the 737 MAX until its out. It wont just be a visual model. There are much things that are different from the 737NG. Even if you compare the PMDG 737-800 with the 737-700, there are differences (except from the model)

I had suggested that before the NGX was released.

Ohhhhhhhhhh............. preeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeettyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy. PMDG. When?

Omg, it can go from New York to Lima/London... That's pretty impressive.

The 700/800 - WL already can AFAIK.

No they can't. The -700ER can. I'm not so sure about the -900ER though.

The 737MAX comes in the -800 size, so that is why I can see it being used by large airlines on that route, such as British Airways or American.

i7-6700K @ 4.5 GHz, 16 GB DDR4-2400 MHz, GTX 1070 8GB

The NG could do it, or at least the -800 could, but not at full load. (According to the FPPM.)

You don't need the -ER to do the flight. The range of the -700 is sufficient for KJFK - EGLL, even without winglets. The -700ER can do EGLL - KSFO, nevermind just to JFK.

Quoted from Boeing Commercial Airplane's Chief Executive Officer: "The one thing we do want to make sure we have with this airplane is compatibility with the NG, compatibility with airplanes we've already delivered. What customers have told us is don't touch the cockpit, and our plans are not to do that."

When?

Probably after the aircraft enters service in the late 2010's. The thing hasn't even flown yet.

it can go from New York to Lima/London

If I remember right, I think there is an European airline that flies out of Detroit or Minneopolis. Not sure if there is a stop in eastern Canada or Keflavick or not.
